For some reason when I go into photo mode . I don’t have a manual setting on my one R ? Only if I put it to video mode I can use manual settings. I’m I doing something wrong?

Hi Rich awesome content. A question on insta360 studio when you bring in the DNG 360 or any 360 image I can't change the aspect ratio to 1:1 or 9x16 etc as you can do on the app. Am I missing something?

This is a good point - I don’t usually use studio for photos but yes you’re right I can’t see how to do that. I would probably use a flat view, reframe it and then export the image flat so you can then reframe it somewhere else. Not ideal I know.

Thanks for your comment. For editing photos I export to the Circular app and then grade a bit in snapseed. For video I use a combination of the app, the studio and premiere.

@@EatSleep360 I meant livestream event or taking 360 media for business what approach is best practice. At the moment this VR is gaining interest. What do you think?

The problem with live streaming an event with these cheaper cameras such as the one x is that you can’t power it at the same time as live stream so you have a 45 minute battery window. I think the area worth looking at for business is virtual tours.

Your channel is great I am in my 50's about to buy the 360r and head out to vacation in July with my family. I have not been able to get an answer from most channels I watch. The question is if I use multiple different cameras to create a video of the trip how do I merge them all into one video editor? since the ain't 360 has its own editor to process the files best.

Thanks for your comment. On your desktop computer you can get a free version of Davinci resolve or if you want to pay then I use premiere. On mobile if you have iOS then as long as you can get all your clips back to your phone from the various cameras and save them as mp4 you can then use the “Stories” feature either in the one r app and you create a story and import all the clips from your phone. Hope that helps and makes sense.

COuldn't you use auto exposure but set the EV to - to avoid over exposure? Dicking around with manual settings when the light changes every few seconds is annoying, so I just set the EV to -3 and it works most of the time.

Hey I have a problem with Android, s9 s10 both can't export any videos. Old iPhone 6 can though. Are you using an Android to edit and export,? Thank you so much.

I’m using iPhone 7 Plus. I’m not familiar with Android but one thing that can prevent export is lack of memory on your phone. If not then worth going to the insta360 Facebook groups for help. Thanks for watching

Are you taking normal 360 pictures? I have a one x2 but I’m new to using it, something I don’t understand about the insta cameras is whether or not I need to be taking pictures and video in a special way or not? It seems like maybe the insta is very flexible, and as long as you just take regular 360 pictures and video that it can be manipulated in pretty much any way in post, is that right? Thank you! These videos are invaluable.

Hi John, thanks for the comment. Yes the key to using a 360 camera is to shoot in 360 mode for photo and video and then point the camera afterwards when you edit in the app. There are lots of videos on my channel that should help you get your head around it. An easy way to start editing is using snap wizard and I’ve made a tutorial on it here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e52afLaixt_Jgp8.html
