I just got mine and tested it out earlier. I'm having tons of trouble. App is a bit difficult but that I'll figure out later. But it's frustrating. I noticed as I would record the preview on my phone would freeze even though it still records. Then when I transfer a clip that's 15 min long but I used the hyper lapse on it so it moved it down to one minute. And as I'm trying to download it ,it would lose connection and not download. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong

Thank you I learned more form your video than others I ride my Motorcycle love to video as I do I often turn the camera on and off to save battery life. This is important on long rides and then I splice together, thanks again

Thanks George! Actually I used to ride too (Kawi EX500 and ZX-6R). One thing you may want to do is to plug your camera via USB to a power bank to extend battery life even more.

Hi Oscar. Yes please calibrate for best results for stabilization. It takes only a few seconds to do it.

Thank you for the guide, sure answered alot of questions. Does this camera support loop mode? Didn't find any concludent answers, for example i want to start it and "save" important parts of a longer video like the GoPro does.

@@motorcyclingTo Thanks! Sometimes it takes a while to add a feature. To speed it up, we need to encourage other people to request it more strongly, which lets insta360 know how important it is so it can move up their to do list. I'll start a petition on 360 Rumors today!

I recommend something like a photography clamp, kind of like this amzn.to/3quNSKx and attach to that a 1/4-20 to 1/4-20 adapter like this amzn.to/3L8CHPt Then you'll be able to connect your camera and selfie stick to your wheelchair.

Another great video - Thanks. Two questions : I'd like a selfie stick that I can extend out of a car window (or a small plane) at high speed, but I don't want the camera to be able to misalign with the invisible selfie stick. Is there a stick that fixes the mounting bracket so it can't move (i.e. tilt) or do I need to get another style of mount in addition ? (And if so what type should I get ?). Secondly is a longer stick better and if it's being subjected to (high speed) airflow, does it need to be the carbon fibre stick ?

For the monopod, the carbon fiber stick is not thick enough. I would suggest this one but keep it unextended for greater stiffness. amzn.to/2R0dSMJ

The thing is that I cant find this mode in settings. You can see this function in the Insta360 one R manual, but in my camera settings the "quick capture" is not available. Why??!!!! @@jonathanguerra1976 Hey there Jonathan, coincidentally, someone else asked the exact same question. There used to be a Quick Capture mode but it disappeared. But they told me that they're putting it back. I've asked them when they will do it and when I get a response, I'll post the answer here or on 360rumors.com .

After shooting and you want to view video, can you take out the SD card and put into phone for better connectivity? I do this now with my gopro and like not dealing with connection issues. I'm guessing because you don't download video not used helping with storage, where gopro you import then edit.

Hey there Keck. Yes you can do that assuming you have a compatible Micro SD card reader for your phone. In the future, you'll also be able to connect your One R your phone (iOS or Android) via USB. :D

Awesome tutorial, thank you! Question: 1) In my android app, I have a Video|Photo option, but do not have all the menus above that, include the time lapse button. I've pushed everything and can't seem to get those to pop up. What am I doing wrong? Question 2 and off topic) My memory card wants to pop out and will not click to stay in (like on my DJI devices), so I wind up "forcing" the port door closed (power outlet and card door). This also prevents hard-connecting to a power source via power cord during long shoots. What's the fix here? Thank you!

Hey there Denver Lifestyle! Thanks for watching my video. The options will show up if you tap on the three lines to the right of the shutter. I will have a tutorial for part 2. Re memory card, it should stay in. If it is popping out then it is not fully inserted. If the USB door is not closing, it's possible that the short cable / hinge got tangled. Make sure that the cable is straight and not bunched up when you close the door. I hope this helps!

I just got my camera a week ago, and I am loving it. It gives me a lot more freedom to reframe my shots, no more FOMO when shooting! BTW, can you do a color (log, hdr) grading/editing video? Also, what would you recommend on holding method when you doing a vlog? Thanks.

Hey there Tony! Congrats on getting your One R! Yup no more fomo! Re grading i can work on a tutorial for that. Re holding for a vlog, I would hold it at a natural angle and then use the microphone adapter to get good audio. If you don't have a mic adapter, i recommend an external recorder and a lav mic.

Thanks Robert! Congrats on getting the One R. One R videos can take up a lot of space. A 4 minute video is 2.4GB. How long is your video and how much space do you have on your phone (internal memory, not including SD card). The slow motion playback could be a limitation of your phone processor. You could download the video to your phone if you want to play it a bit smoother.

Hi Antonio. According to this page, insta360 recommends GTX 1060 (6GB) www.insta360.com/support/supportcourse?post_id=11139 But I have a laptop with GTX 1050 that can run insta360 studio without problems.

Derfor har jeg allerede i Januar bestilt ONE R Expert Edition, men har ikke fået den endu, - formentlig på grund af Corona Virus. Mic er helt fantastisk til at forklare og vise hvordan det funger "BEST360" er en ander der også er god - prøv ham!

Hey there Michael. It is not normal for the 360 module to always be upside down. You can try a reset in the settings. If it still doesn't work, I recommend returning to the seller or contacting insta360 support through their website or through the settings page on the app.

Hi from the app, select the file and choose download. It will download the file to your phone and you can turn off your camera.

This video was immensely helpful, but I've come across a problem. I took 6 videos and only 3 of them are showing up in the 360 app. I can view the video on the camera, but how can I get it to upload onto the app like the other ones?

Hi there foolscard. Sometimes it takes a minute or two to load all the thumbnails. Also, in the gallery tab of the One R app, at the top, you will see "Local" and "Camera." If it is not yet downloaded, then to see it, you need to go to "Camera" (while your One R is connected to your phone).

I just received my Insta360 one R twin edition today. When going through the setup for the app, when connecting the camera to the app and in the Wi-Fi settings I can see the camera but it says connected without internet, yet its connected to the app. confusing?

Hi Randy. When it says connected without internet, it means that while the phone is connected to the one r, your phone will not be able to surf the web. I hope that helps.

Hi Jacqueline. Good question! First turn on the screen lock (go to settings and tap on the pad lock). When the screen lock is activated then you can press the power button to switch modes from standard video, standard photo, hdr photo, timelapse, hdr video, interval shooting. The official dive case will have access to the buttons. The other way is to use the bluetooth remote (but please note bluetooth does not travel far underwater).

Hi. I am about to pull the trigger for this camera, actually thanks to your videos. However I have heard about overheating issues generating fog inside the lens... which is quite an issue. Saw it in a few reviews as well as in comments. Would you have any info about that?

Thanks Rivo. I've never had any fogging on my camera. Maybe they mean when using the dive case or lens protector? Hi Chandra. If you are looking for footage that looks as sharp as a 4k video on an action cam, no consumer 360 camera can give you that because its 5.7k resolution is spread out over 360 degrees. But yes you can improve the quality by making sure to shoot at maximum resolution, in bright light, choose high bitrate in the general options (swipe down from the main screen and look for the cog). I also suggest using medium sharpness and use Standard color, not Vivid. If you know how to grade footage, you can use Log mode instead of Standard. If it’s sunny and you won’t be moving much, shoot in HDR video mode. I hope these tips help!

Hey there J! Sorry, the One X dive case cannot become invisible. But you can angle it toward you and hold the selfie stick low, then the nadir will be out of view as long as you don't keyframe the video to face the camera downward.

WOW thank you for this introductory. Finally got to see it really in action. Please i work in dark spaces, would you show us some video of indoor low light such as a trip to a basement or attic? I want to record my work in closets and crawlspaces. But every "low light test"is done in areas with tons of lights. Such as parks with lights in the trees. I dont have a feel of every day life shots. This video really captured some normal use with the camera like the kicks and the walk by the shed. This video would have saved me hours of digging and other videos.

I have recently purchased a qoocam 8k and purchased a Mac book pro 16 inches with i9 but when I stitch the 8k 10 bit video in Mac it takes 12 hours for 5 mins video clip. (Even downsizing to 4K) do you have a suggestion for another stitching software? Please please please help me thank you!

Hi Honolulu. A 5 min video shouldn't take 12 hours. Even though stitching is mostly dependent on CPU, you'll need a graphics card to stitch faster. The graphics card doesn't have to be powerful. Even a modest one can make a huge difference. You can check with kandao to see what cards they support.

At around 11.20 you say no matter which way you point the camera the picture will always be level. Does that include if the camera is inverted?
