Thanks bro you helped me sooo much i have 211 and they dont make courtesy shadow lights for it. So i bought 204 ones and took door panel off and soldered it to the ribbon cable and had to do some grinding with dremel workes perfect

Hey Raymond just got my front and rear illuminated door sills. They came with small connectors for both ends. So I plan to solder the wire directly like you did to the courtesy light wires. Then solder the male connector at the other end of the wires closer to the door sill. So if something should go wrong with any of the illuminated door sills, just disconnect and replace. Also dropped off my new sills at Exclusive Films so they can clear bra them for protection from scratches etc.

8:50 FLEXX, probably if you don't have this lights OEM, you also needs to go to mercedes dealer to configure your car codes and activate the code 876 that is for interior lighting (in europe is this code) to have electric signal on the correct pin. It also allows you to install the lights down in exterior mirrors and a lot of interior lighting too that came with the interior lights package. I don't know how to mention Flexx Alexander here, if anyone know how to do, please do it. So much support guys, your videos are great!!

This makes sense that you mention this since the VR/VL module is programmable. I will pin this comment in case someone else need this valuable information! I have a 2012 C350 coupe. I connected door emblem lights using the red/white and brown/pink wires on the doors. Lights work but stay in when I lock the door. What wires should I have used?

Does not require a light, run positive to power source and ground the wire to the door switch. MOST of the time that is a ground so it’s not always doable. Also fiber optics can be splicers we do it all the time in networking but don’t do it anyway. Thanks for the vid and exploration.

I own 2 Mercedes Benz 123 and 124 ! Back when Mercedes was engineered like no other car! Both had interior leaks! Which was fixed! Now Mercedes is all or Nothing! Looks like Mercedes obviously! Doesn't care ! All gadgets. More than ever! A lot of Nothing but more expensive module for every function. I'm glad there are people like you that improve their Mercedes better than the factory crap!

What's wrong with using the courtesy light? Switches on and off with the door opening and closing, you don't need to rip half your car apart...

Not in a Mercedes Benz the ESL switch will need to be reprogrammed. If you can get that done then yes

Thanks for your informative video installing illuminated doorsills on a Mercedes-Benz. I have a 2016 E400 obsidian metallic black sedan and looking to install some illuminated sills. Everything I have installed on my vehicle has been OEM. Unfortunately the OEM doorsills available for my vehicle go in the inner doorsill. Which means I would end up with two doorsills that would look awful. So I have decided try aftermarket ones you showed in your video. My experience with some Chinese aftermarket products on other vehicles I’ve had is the quality of adhesive tape, which has proven not to be very good. So my question how well are the illuminated door sills you installed on your Mercedes holding? Thanks

I do have question i followed your one video for installing door speakers so i went with JL c1s i bought separately 4 channel amp and want the most syatem gone so i pulled factory harmon amp out and now i understand how to run speakers wires from old amp to new one so where do i connect speaker door speakers to head unit which is xtrons

Hey man, great tutorial! Had a question for you. Is the plate flexible at all? I’m trying to find the same door sills for my 2012 S550 on all 4 doors. The only one I’ve found available is the huge Mercedes Benz logo in blue but I like the luxurious look of the ones you have more. I’m looking to buy a different models (E Class) door sill and then try to fit them on my car since I’d have to take off the old sill anyways.. any ideas?

+Owais Khan the plate is as flexible as spaghetti (Dry). The plate on my car is 23.5" x 2" I would email the sellers and ask them for the dimensions. Then measure your sill and see if it will fit. Keep in mind my factory sills were smaller than these and these fit perfectly! Search eBay for light up S class door sill ALOT came up so you will have to see if your year is there if not message them and ask them the dimensions. It may just fit.

The light cables on the E class is Blue/White in the door . But it is so hard to run the cable through e W212 model because inside The model 2010-2016 there is a cloth/insulation of a so when you run a cable through just like u did its the same way but much hard everything sticks to the insulation. The part 19:04 is fucking hard on W212

Hey whats up!! i follow your videos and like the modifications that u do in your car, although i don't have Mercedes Benz.....:) i drive Honda Accord 03 LX and recently bought Honda civic 2015 LX. I was wondering if u could help me to get some plug & Play gadgets ( good quality and best price) for civic. 1. Door sill animated and moving ( Red ) (civic). 2. welcome door ghost logo ( H ) 3. Touch screen lcd w/navigation GPS 10.2' My car's stock radio Blue tooth is so awesome. there is no noise or distortion in sound while talking on the phone through the BT system and person on the other end can hear very loud and clear. i am afraid that if i'll replace the stock radio, i might lose this luxury. i really need your assistance in this regard. one more question, i want to install new set of tires with OEM Alloy wheels which comes in EX sedan model whereas mine has steel rims. would you suggest to buy OEM Alloy rims from auto junk yard. new rims are $900 and used are $300. will appreciate your help. plz reply. thanks, regards Asif. asifsafri@gmail.com

Hey there, did anyone else notice a subtle sound when the lights turn on/off? It’s like a buzz/light sabre turning on...it doesn’t get hot or anything, but you can notice it when up close

Checked it out and no buzz sounds. All your connections good? Could be a capacitor in led circuit board

Raymond Urias yep everything’s good. Only 1 out of the 2 has this issue. Tried it with a portable battery and same thing, so you might be right. Not a huge deal...will use it while it lasts ✌🏼 thanks!

Raymond Urias thank bro. I was trying not to do that lol. I also want the footwell lights as well. I have to wait for spring time because right now it's 0 degrees in Boston, I actually want to link with flex to see if he wants to this projector together since we both live in MA.

+1ELiMusic The alternative is to pull the wires from a salvage and have the dealership program the ambient light system. You can definitely do it you just have to take your time it's not hard to tap the lights and solder in a new connection. If you manage to get a hold of Flex tell I said Hi! I sent him a couple of messages and he seems to either not get the or he just doesn't want to talk to me :( .... Alot of my subscribers tell me if you post my name in his comments of his videos he will delete it lol. Don't ask me why.

Clean your drain passages lol ))) that’s what happens - you probably parking your car outside so drains getting filled with dust and debris - aka not letting water drain properly ... if you see what kinds of rain they putting cars before start selling it - Florida rain - just a sprinkle ... good luck
