I've got an m1 mac and when I do java -version on my terminal I get this message: java version "1.8.0_333" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_333-b02) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.333-b02, mixed mode) So do I have the java jdk installed?

Are there any issues runing the x86 java on the M1 Mac? I know Oracle has a java version for the new arm processing, but I think its version 17?

Yes. Roseta Stone 2 does make it so x86 apps can run and yet many GUI apps will not run using this binary. You need arch64 version (aka arm version). Oracle only released a JDK version. There is an OpenJDK version that supports it with code by the team that is porting Linux to run natively on the Apple M chips and Microsoft, also released a version.

Why does your title mention M1 Macbook and you download versions for Intel machines? I understand that for the JDK version you downloaded it may not have been available, but the Jetbrains IDE has a version for ARM64. On minute 2:51 you have the option to choose this and you do not.

Yeap, I think he got the wrong version. It's not supposed to be x64 installer. 0:56 shows he got the wrong one.
