Hi Jani, I'm changing my rod bearings with engine still on the car. my question is if the cylinders should be in a special location when I put the oil pump back? (I didn't remove the lower timing chain)

What happen if you don't align left 1:25 cogwheels ,need to be align if the chain is replace without changing pozition? I have n45 that is similar ,Thank you !

hi wanted to ask you, if you know is it possible to change shell bearings from underneath, and without removing the engine from a car?

Rod bearings are able to change from the bottom when you first lower the front axle and remove the oil sump from the front. Crankshaft bearings can be a little trickier when you should get the crankshaft off the bottom bed of the block. I'm not sure if they will be able to exchange from below ...

@@JaniVoutilainen thanks for you answer. What state were your bearings when you removed them? And at what milage was your engine? Im still fighting with 30C1 (low oil preassure) error. I have eliminated all potential reasons apart from oil pump that can be foulty and/or rod bearings as they can 'leak' when used and need to be change. Just trying to evaluate the cost of repairing.

www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/ Write your car's VIN number --> submit --> write example "oil pump N43" to Search documents --> and there you go 😊

Hi! Sprocket to oil pump torque is 32 Nm for N43 motor. Remember! That bolt is left-hand threads.

@@owzjones6531 For N43 engine: Oil pump to lower section of crankcase (bedplate 3 bolts witch size are M8x135 M8x55 M8x40) jointing torque is 25 Nm. Balancing shaft housing to crankcase (6 bolts all same size) jointing torque 25 Nm + Torque angle 90 °. Remember replace, wash and oil screws !

Could you do me a favour could you tell me bolt torque for the connecting rods,head and oil pan and the crank and cam gears please as I'm in the middle of building mine and I can't find them anywhere
