Time to replace the flimsy phone mount with something that will hopefully last longer than the last one! Less moving part in this one but does require a metal plate or magnetic case for your phone.

This magnetic swivel cell phone was designed exclusively for the Audi A3 / S3 / RS3 (2014-2018), no longer worried about fixing the universal mobile phone holder.
It is not necessary to take out the entire air fan, gently move the vent side to the side until it comes out a little, then put the holder between the air vents and push them back. Very easy to install and remove

Congratulations Gilles !! 😃👍 Your custom black and red air vents go perfectly together with this new magnetic phone holder. If your air vents were still silver, it wouldn't have matched so well. La plaque collante se detache tout le temps, mais j'ai commander une protection pour le telephone avec plaque integrée qui devrait mieux marcher.

I believe they are for 2014+ only unfortunately.

My Xiaomi 10T Pro seems to be very heavy for the magnet to hold it in place, have you dealt with this same issue? Any tips?

Could try a different metal plate. Struggle a bit with mine as well, would hold it but sometimes fly off when cornering a bit hard. Ended up trying out one of those phone case with integrated plate and that solved the issue

@@Beardchanics maybe I needed to add further detail, the issue is that my phone tilts down because of its weight, but now that you mention yours dropped from the magnet, makes me think I need a different option. Thanks for your reply.

How does air vents fit in after instalation? Is there any gap? Thank you!

There must be a tiny gap but I've never notice it to be honest and that the kind of thing that would put me off using it. It's been great to be honest - only hard part is finding a phone holder with a strong magnet. I ended up using a normal case with a magnet sticker strip - would hold even during launches then =)

Never had the chance to try but I would suspect it might not need it. I've used case with built in plate before and that worked fine.

The plate fall off my phone cover anyway lol Ordered a cover with integrated plate to see if that would work better and then can test that properly. Pretty string magnet so might be alright.

@@Beardchanics faut coller la plaque metallique DANS la protection du téléphone pas à l 'exterieur. you have to stick the plate INSIDE the phone cover not outside. I have mine set up like that, the phone doesn't move an inch even while riding like a maniac on speed bumps 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@daviddavidsonn3578 Merci pour le conseil. Ce que j'ai essaye d'abord mais si je le mets dedans il ne tiens pas du tout au support. A la fin j'ai pris une autre protection avec plaque integre et ca marche un peu mieux.

Yeah it aint great even with phone case that have magnetic stuff in. I used a stronger magnetic strip I got with another product and it worked well then. Could even do launches and phone stayed still.
