You cannot do that for house voltage. Maybe low voltage but this is not an accepted process for terminating electrical wires.

Video should be taken off youtube. Probably THE most dangerous way of connecting any house electrics. Waygos and a junction box minimum. This isnt even legal or code in most countries

The box is missing splice must be in a box and connect wires with a wire nut or a wago

I like the british way: socket and plug. No connectors needed as ceiling lights come with plugs.

Exposed live parts is not the way to install downlights safely. Cables have no basic protection.

Foreigners talking about the wiring. Use wagos blah blah blah in comment section. But in most of the indian houses we use only pvc tape. And it will be work forever without any problem.
