So I have to give a big thank you to 5150 guys. They did a wonderful job on my jeep. I had shoulder replacement surgery and wasn't really healed. So when they showed up I called Patrick up and told him what I needed done. I met him when he was a Freshman in my first year of teaching wood shop. I believe Patrick was with me all four years of High School. We were interested in the same things Cherokee's. I did let EAG know about the videos they were excited, they have people calling them about a video for the installation all the time. The young Lady took down the info on where to find them on KZfaq so she can give them out. Thank You guys again wonderful work and they look great!!

If you don't mind me asking, how far does the lower part of the bumper go compared to the front crossmember that connects the frame rails (big center piece of metal with the two big ovals cut into it)? I'm looking to install a BIG transmission cooler and need to cut that crossmember underneath and extend it down about 2-3 inches. Hoping the EAG bumper will still cover that. Thanks in advance!

Awesome video, I am about to buy this bumper and install it myself. Do you know if the lights ever started working? I always worry about putting electronics on an old jeep (mine is a 94) and it glitching out and not working correctly.

Thanks, not sure if they started working as this Jeep is a friend of ours. I believe they we going to call the manufacture for a replacement lights.

I'm the friend the guys from 5150 installed the bumpers for. I finally called about the lights. They were really nice. The young lady that worked with me explained they usually only give 30 days on the lights. I told I was a dummy and she said she would go ahead and send them out today.

Did you have plenty of play in the bumper mounting bracket with the extra steering box brace you put in?

Has this bumper ever had any shortcomings on strength? I love the look and price of it but I’m always scared that if someone tries to pull me it might just get ripped off

Hi CJ, This bumber is built very strong, all 3/16 steel. The week point is the XJ frame we’re the bumber mounts. We added bumper tie in brackets and xtra reinforcement to help make it stronger. Thanks for watching.

Hi Jerry, C-Rock now offer 2 kits, left and right reinforcing kits, minimum I would do drivers since the steering box mounts to that plate and if you have the budget I go with both left and right this will reinforce the front bumper also. Where are the frame tie in brackets ?

Most bumpers do not come with them, but we used C-ROK XJ Frams stiffeners to tie into the XJ. you can see them at 9:00 minutes into the video. Thanks for watching.

How far out from the grill does the bumper go?

Christopher Spencer we don’t have the Jeep here as it was a friend of ours, when I see it again I’ll take a measurement. My guess would be around 10-12”.

Hi Christopher the bumper is 8 1/2 inches but the brush bar and the D- ring mounts are 10 1/2 inches out from the grill.
