thank you for this video. I bought the Feit electric doorbell, which looks the same as this one, and it wouldnt connect the way the instructions said, but hooking up the usb cord like you showed did get it connected.

Does this allow activity zone setup to prevent false notifications? And does globe electric provide option for cloud storage?

I had to disable activity. vehicles on the street eould set it off. Cloud storage, no idea because I have a sd card in it.

Thank’s for answering. So I you’re front doorbell in witch you connected you’re globe advised you by phone or tablet and cuts off the sound from my regular doorbell.

My door bell will still sound the hallway bells, hence my dog still goes crazy someone is ringing. Was your orginal door bell push button hardwired? Those wires will go to the bells and a 24volt transformer

Two wired , this is where my Globe suite gets his electricity. But it wont ring inside . When i push the new aglobe suite it only rings outside and gives me a notice on my phone .

Thank's for youre Quick answer , just to keep you posted i have been communicating with globe suite and they tell me to go into parameters,goorbell settings ,change to mecanical and still my ringing in the house besides my phone or tablet. By the i also tried to download the app on my dell computer with windows and you cant or on my

I bought the same product as you and did all of my installation the opposite way but works fine . Just need to know why doesn’t my regular door been ring . Does this product only work with cell phones ,iPads etc…

I replaced my front switch with the Globe, but my rear door switch still works. I use both Samsung cell and tablet.

good video, would you know if the door bell transformer needs to be a 24V because the transmitter doesn't ring the bell. Bought a second one to check if in case the transmitter was defective and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions ?

Most of the doorbells work with a 24v Transformer. But, with today's newer stuff, who knows what it is. Usually, if you have hardwired door bells, its low voltage, 24 volt.

I have the same unit, I thought when someone rings the doorbell its supposed to show the screen with a green and red icon to answer the doorbell like a phone call? The Globe Suite video shows it like that? Your's doesn't and either does mine?

Mine will do the phone call thing. I had my girlfriend ring it and it does do it. You must have motion detection enabled. Reaching around the door frame and just hitting the door bell button doesn't work. It must detect motion when the button is pressed..

Several months on, how do you like the doorbell now? Did it stand up to Canadian Winter ok?

It made it through one Edmonton winter, some days -40 windchill. It really handy to talk to someone at your door when I'm at work

Any idea how to change it to another wifi network without having to remove it and attach to usb and start over again??

Did you just try changing the wifi on your phone settings?. If that doesn't work, then, you will have to remove the device from your Globe app, and start over agian.

Wondering if you can help me. I can’t find the answer anywhere. I have the globe doorbell it is all set up and installed been using it for a month. I just changed the password to my bell internet now I can’t figure out how to get my doorbell to come back online

You probably have yo reset it again. Take it off the wall, connect it directly to your cell. and redo the startup process.

At 10:42, you can see that you put some kind of plastic thing at the top under the mounting plate that was not there with the old doorbell. What was this, and why did you need it? It doesn't appear to be the included wedge. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ndmTgsacmL-po3k.html

You are correct. The plate didn't seat properly to the door frame, so I added a piece of rubber to take up the gap to prevent any rain going behind it.

@@farmboyfixes Good idea. I just designed and 3d printed a shim as mine didn't sit level, either, due to the storm door frame. I might put some silicone around it to keep the water out.
