Installing A PVC Venetian Blind Without A Drill

In this video I show you how to install a PVC venetian blind without a drill.. Only using a screwdriver and some very good self tapping screws, they work in plastic and metal they are really effective. I also show you how to reduce the blind to fit perfectly on the window sill. The entire video was done in real time and without me explaining the blind would have only took me 10 minutes to put up. Thanks for watching this vid to the end👌

This was brilliant! I’m a 75 yo woman from Australia and have put up a few of these in my time (over 20). I’ve never trimmed the bottom length or the cords….I learnt so much from watching you. I’m putting up a new one in my kitchen today and feel much better prepared. Many thanks. /\

I’m struggling with some Venetian blinds. There’s two plastic brackets (for each end) then the supporting ones for the middle.. Are the two plastic ones supposed to support the weight of it? I was trying to slide the metal into the plastic ones?! 😂 just doesn’t seem secure rattling around in plastic brackets. Does that sound right? (Instructions from company weren’t clear hence coming to KZfaq)

Hi, and thanks for watching thank you 👍 yeah sometimes they give you plastic brackets they don't make them like they use to 🤦‍♂️ so fix your end brackets but you will definitely need one in the middle all depends on the length of your blind if you got a long blind then space out the brackets evenly for the extra support if you get a good fixing on the brackets they should be fine good luck and let me know how you get on 👍👊

Hi Atif👍 yeah this sometimes happens mate it's to do with the mechanism try and pull the blind right up spray some WD 40 on the mechanism this might free up the side that is stuck plus you should have a cord to lift the left and right side of the blind try a jiggle the cords this might free it up, if you do get it free drop the blind all the way to the bottom and and pull back to the top hopefully that dose the trick mate thanks for stopping by the vid 👍👍👊.

Mr coyys: Appreciate the comment mate but I'm not In a studio, With a camera man to help me i did try and get the right angled shots i did the blind in real time to so only had one go at it to , I'm not perfect but always give it my best shot 👍.

It's far too hard to do, the screws wont go in and keep wobbling. Shitty "venetian blinds". Instructions aren't even clear either...lol. I struggled doing this with a drill, never mind without one.

Yeah man it's a really fiddly job and takes some patience that's for sure the instructions can be very poor to I normally have a quick look at them then work it out for myself, plus think about what tools ill need for the job, and also what I'm fixing into, yeah mate it's not as easy as it looks but you tried man next time you will nail it 💯 thanks for stopping by the vid mate 👊 and if I can help in anyway just let me know thanks 👍👍.

Its easy to criticize that's for sure and for being a bad video well that's abit harsh 🤔 9 out of 10 people will get what I'm showing, the problem is you carnt please everyone the video is not done in a studio with a camera man pointing the camera at every single detail, if you're doing a similar blind yourself send me a message detailing what part you need to work out and I'll gladly let you know how to do it , if you want to criticize that's fine but I can back up any questions about fitting a pvc blind 💯, plus I haven't got to try next time son

Mr Alfred it's very easy to be fault-finding and critical but that's your opinion there's no one perfect in life, alot of people have got something out of the vid maybe try it yourself and see how you get on then post it to the 🌎 I can take criticism in any way shape or form, I do hope you did get something out of the vid and at the end of the day that's what it's all about .
