The front end of this van is finally done!! Booom....!! Complimented by the Travelin-Lite high gloss black grille with a candy red feature strip.

Note you will need to comment in the basket if you want the red feature strip otherwise it will arrive with a black one!

Hi Steve getting my first VW van soon and it's a t6, your channel is excellent showing folk what can be achieved with a bit of know how and patience, been binge watching your videos and it's really helped inspiration wise and you seem like a top bloke hopefully see you and your van at some shows next year COVID dependant💚🤘

I got my upper front debadged grill from travelinlite and I must say the quality is excellent had it respirated to match the candy red on the mirrors and spoiler etc looks ace and at half the cost of VW and other sites. Your van is coming along nicely love the gloss black 👌🏾

Steve Field, I decided after a tree branch landed on my bonnet and broke the grill to go debadged lol luckily it was the week before it was due in the body shop for a paint job on my lower splitter and front bumper as I’m selling it and getting the T6 from Van Haven which I asked them for the new van to have a debadged grill too as I love the look 😍

Hi Steve, your videos are cool man. Do you get your van paint detailed as it looks very decent in all your videos. My wife and kids washed mine a few weeks ago and left swirl marks all over.

🙌🙏thanks Eddie, I always do all my own detailing. I’m no expert but I stick to the primary rules such as work from top down and use 2 x buckets for cleaning. 1 with the solution in and another with just water and a grit guard so you can dip in the clean water and push down on the grit guard then into the cleaning solution so not grit gets back onto the panels lowering the chances of swirls. Fortunately I let my kids do my wife’s car and then they’ve had enough by time I get to the van 🤪🤣👍

Great video Steve. A question when you refitted the badge. Did you still have to use the black backing plate from behind the chrome badge?

Thanks buddy, You know I don’t think I did in the end..... it has a glossy back drop from the grill and I think the clips sat better without the backing plate.

Nice fitting of grill. Please advise where to buy the eibach race line lowering springs from, and what you think the approx cost of install should be on the T6 . Thank you.

Amer Bharj ////AMG Cheers, you can pick them up from Customvanz.co.uk. They are the only guys I know that sell them. They are about £360 and can get different colours. I don’t have a clue how much a garage would charge to fit. I think customvanz list some prices fitted but they hide costs in packages of stuff.

Hi Rich, thank you for following🙌. Really appreciated. I am very happy with both grills even after going through a couple of winters they have held up well and the lower DRLS are still working faultlessly👍. I did get a large stone chip on the red feature strip but that was down to poor luck and I have acquired a new red strip so an easy fix. All in all I’ve been very happy 👌

Thanks buddy, Yes I do like the ABT style to but I would have gone with all the rest of the kit I think if I were going to put the grille on. i.e. the front and rear bumper, skirts etc.. but i went the sport line road in the end👍

Hi steve. Van looking great! I want to gloss black my grills. My local body shop has quoted me £350 to spray the originals as they said will be a better job using original parts....I'm concerned of stone chips though! Are the gloss grills you fitted painted or gloss plastic? Also.....what's your final opinion on the gloss black badge vs chrome? I too am unsure what way to go on my starlight blue t6. If I gloss black the front badge I feel i need to do the back too...gloss black grills and no chrome seems to be the more modern way.....dare I mention black packs on range rovers etc

Hi Stuart, thanks for your comment! Firstly I am still unsure about my black badge. I personally think I am moving more towards the chrome badge (personally like it on the black grille) but many are opting I keep the black. The grilled are well painted and have a good gloss finish (painted onto smooth plastic not textured) but the quality of fitment is def not as high standard as OEM. However I am fussy and it was OK! There were just a couple of clips that put up more of a fight to snap in but got there in the end 👍

Maybe a matt black badge as it wouldn't blend in some much with the gloss.

Hi Steve just ordered my gloss upper and lower grille The upper red trim if I decided to take that off at anytime is it still gloss black underneath where it should fit?

Hi Lucio, That's Awesome buddy, really transforms the front👍 If you take off the red feature strip I am pretty sure it would need to have a black one fitting in its place as might look like something is missing. not 100% certain of that though

Hi, Steve what is the quality like on the gloss black? Been considering buying this too but didn't know whether to just get mine painted at a body shop gloss black. If the quality is good then id rather just buy the grills. It would be easier.

Hi Steve, not sure if you will see this now but I've recently bought a T6.1 and want to change the grill and paddle, but not sure I have the confidence to do it myself. Is it quite easy to do? Thanks Phil

I am not sure how similar the 6.1 bumper mounting would be to a T6 but if you have a second pair of hands for the lifting on and off i would say give it a go as you can always abort if its getting to deep. 2nd pair of hands is the real key!! 👍

Scooby Doo a little in the 1st instance but some have made no difference at all. Altogether I don’t think I am paying more than £75 per year from the stock van 👍

Hi Steve, How do these after market grilles hold up to the elements? So they fade etc……..

Hi Dave. In terms of fading none, top grill as in above bumper I cannot fault it still looks like new. The lower grill a couple of areas if you get close the paint in a couple of areas in the louvred bits has come off under pressure washing (minor but it has) 👍

I was wondering why I cant find videos about how to paint front grills on T6 with plasti dip and clear lacquer over to get black gloss result as the guys doing on other cars and wheels. Someone did this? More affordable than buying new grills or I miss something and that solution is not good? Please any advice or recommendations 🙏

thomas hunter yes I do it in stages, I told them about this mod 2 months before I fitted it.
