For those wondering, the OEM foglights are NOT immune to getting full of water or corroding due to water condensation, mine did, so I'm defenitely not going to replace them with new OEM ones and will go aftermarket. However I wish they made fog lamps like in the old days, using sealed beams - those never get water or condensation. I found the OEM Honda Fog Light design quite poor for maintenance - you practically need to remove the bumper to replace a burnt bulb (by the time it burns out the screws are too corroded and you end up having the remove the bumper anyway) and the inside is impossible to drain if water gets in - the glass and housing are in one unit, cannot be taken apart. I'm looking for a waterproof LED aftermarket design at this time.

Use a switched live from the ignition, this will then turn off the lights when the key is removed.

A job well done! I see that you didn't bother trying to unbolt the two speed clips at the bottom of the bumper - these get hopelessly rusted up. Also, with the way you cut out only the disks, you can't access the alignment screw after installing. Look closely, there's a factory line in the inside at the top of the port that guides you to cut out a U-shaped piece to allow access to the alignment screws after installation is complete. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y9aKYJuJ3crUgKs.htmlsi=LHQe3MzsqNnJevNq However, if you only cut out the disks, you have the advantage of being able to remove the fog lights and glue the disks back in to restore the appearance of the bumper, effectively "reversing" the installation. I have a Honda OEM/NOS fog light kit and will consider only cutting out the disks as you have done.

not bad,.. im also from NYC and have an element,.. the yellow connect it to a wire that doesn't use direct electricity, or you will drain your battery...
