Yeah... if you see the build series there was a lot of R&D and trial and error before we reached this point! And the thing is, we keep wanting to improve it more!

I have a DRZ400. I am wondering how it’s mounted to the frame? How sturdy is it? I really like the concept, just worry about the clamps shifting on the DRZ while riding off road.

The clamps actually also use a couple of the existing bolt holes, so it wont slide off as typical 'clamp'

You can do it! it'll clean up the dash area more! In fact if my stock meter ever goes bust that's what I'll be doing too!

Hi mate. Nice tower. I am trying to do make a simpler tower, lighter. Just for the phone/gps, odometer and a 12 v power socket. Followed your videos but i am not sure how did you fix the mount to the frame. Can you please give me some insight? Thanks

How effectively does the screen handle wind buffeting at helmet height given that it’s quite a bit further forward than a screen attached to the stock headlight cowl? I know it depends on the riders height but perhaps you can give me an idea of the Finke Gen 2, and your height. I’m very interested in getting one of these but need to know more about the wind effects on the highway.

I still run the Gen1 screen on mine, and I've not had any buffeting. The Finike being a more curved screen the air flows around it more. Hope that helps :)

Great video mate! How is the weight difference? Is turning affected at all?

Weight wise there's hardly a difference to the net weight, but a lot of weight comes off the handle bar and goes onto the frame!! And with the dash being so far forward, I "FEEL" the bike's longer so I lean further forward when turning, so with more weight on the front i feel I turn sharper!

It’s amazing how no company has come up with a stator with decent output for Drz in all these years to support the bells and whistles that go in the tower.

I have seen some "high capacity" stators on ebay from no-name manufacturers.. so I'm a bit skeptical about using those. I think the best bet is to use a LED headlight. You drop your energy consumption from 55w to about 12w just there, leaving some juice for other stuff.

that perspex screen would reflect like a biartch at night and blind you, the light with that spot will transfer to all edges as well. hope you get that sorted. concept looks good thou.

The screen is polycarb, so it wont snap like perspex. Actually there hardly any reflective glare from the spotlight.. There's a mild line along the edge, but it's too ambient to distract you.

@@OnTwoWheels perspex or poly either or what ever, there's no way u ride at night properly if u think it won't reflect back ,we do alot of night racing in South aus ,and I have 30 years says it does reflect back but only the spotlight.

Saw a post on the DRZ400 facebook page. Had your stuff on it. Link sent me to the buying website. Copied and pasted to youtube and found you. Messaged you when you did your firt version...now I see new and improved version. I ahd said i was building one myself. Well my question to you is can it buy just the frame mount brackets. Thats all I need. Mine is attatched to tripple clamps. Would rather mount it to the frame...with your brackets. If I can, I can most like sell a ton of them for you. As I am an admin on one of the largest dual sport facebook pages out there. Tons of friends with DRZ's. So would benefit you if I could just buy the frame brackets. No tower or windshield, just the frame mounts. Cash in hand waiting.
