Instructions on how to install and use another free optimization solver for Excel that, unlike the default solver that comes with your Excel installation, has no size limitations. My students use this solver for their final projects in my optimization class at the University of Miami.

Hello Professor Tallis... OpenSolver has really opened up the horizon of solving the LPPs using excel of any size in terms of number of variables and number constraints as well... But one problem is that for big size problems writing down the constraints in concrete form (borrowed from pyomo parlance) is really challenging and error prone... Do you have any idea by which the abstract forms of the constraints can be written down?

@@TallysYunes Hello Professor, I checked the reference you gave... Thanks a lot... It will generate the AMPL code I believe... But is the reverse possible... I have to check... BTW thanks again...
