Installing FORTUNE AUTO 500 Series Coilovers On My 05 Subaru Forester XT

It was finally time to address the last complaint I had with the Forester. The suspension.. don’t get me wrong, the WRX struts did fine. But I wanted more confidence inspiring when I’m driving the car hard. The awesome people from Fortune Auto Coil overs came through with a set of Fortune 500 series coil overs. The install was a breeze and setting the heights and dampening was a cake walk. These coils don’t only perform and look good, but they are hand built and dyno tested to assure they meet the strict quality standards!

Did you upgrade the springs on your set up? Also, did you go with the default spring rate?

Any follow up video? I really want to replace my worn wrx struts/swift springs with coils (on my 2004 fxt), however i do NOT want a harsh ride. I'm wondering if this setup is good for a dialy driver? I don't track or auto cross.

Question - With the rear coilovers having the top mounting bolt holes slotted for a camber bolt, is there any concern for Strut/Hub Movement by just using a regular bolt? There is a clear spacing when installing the regular bolt in there and I am experiencing this myself now.

Hey man I’m working on installing my coil overs but do I need the coilovers to be the same height on all 4 coils bc I’m trying to lower my forester 2 inches and bc I have all 4 coils on 2 inch does that mean the car will sit at the same ride height when I install them

I think the Forester doesn't have the structural integrity to ever handle really well. I love mine anyway.

Highly suggest upgrading the front and rear sway bars, getting the bracing kits for the doors/ undercarriage. It tightens up the chassis a lot.

@@That_Bearded_Mechanic Did all that. I did notice an improvement. I think a rear strut bar would help as well, but the dog wouldn't like it.
