How I install code 100 track magnets in code 83 track. Used to uncouple cars. Keeps hands off of cars and limits use of pick sticks.

Good video. I don’t recommend install on any curve as it may uncouple but delay will not work.

A Dremel might be a good alternative and somewhat easier to use to cut the hole too.

You should try the rapido railcrew remote uncoupler. Great for mainline and high traffic areas.

This is another video on Kadee. In it show the on by the Apex year on the Branch Line. The under track magnet if you use homosoid is very good cannot be seen. but they are very strong. Do not put it on a line that trains pass over like the main. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aMyImpWgtafJcWg.html

Great video- good to see someone fully utilise the Kadee system. Do you have issues mixing the different brands of knuckle couplers?

98% of all my cars have #5 or 14 couple's. I take #58 off and swap with a friend who only uses #58 Found out in operations you can not mix and match. No Shelf couplers. Not allowed. A couple of cars have original factory couplers because there is not a kadee that can be used. But they work most of the time.

You can use the big ones that go under the track in the road bed. Or go to electric uncouples under the table. Sure if you search You Tube there is some one that shows the under table electric ones. In the Video I made on Stony Creek and Western I have a segment in it of Gil Fritags set up. There you have to get the couple's over the spot then push a button to activate the electric magnet and then move engine while it is active. Most use a timer because you cannot leave one on will burn up.

All Atlas 83 track 560 561 562 563 switches. Main Line tortious machines.

Hey Art Great Video.. Got a Question though Sir your using Kadees and you showed that Big Magnet which you said is really Good to use but never on Mainline but with any Magnet especially a Strong one.. Will that or would that interfere with the Magnets in the Motor of an Engine And on my D.M.R.R which is N scale Art the would be a little closer to the Track would there be any worries about a Engine passing over a Strong magnet.. Thank ya Sir for Reading This And your Layout Ever since watching you back in 2015 is Still totally Awesome..

That Big Under the Track magnet in for HO. I am sure in N scale that it could easily stop and engine. Really. I do not not know what Kadee makes in magnets for N so best if you are doing N to do some research. I have never seen magnets on N scale layouts I have operated on so cannot comment. Good luck.
