Cab Air suspension can be purchased through Midwest Military Equipment.

I am glad you got a set of these. I may be the only person that actually got the Mike and Brandon Ross setup but it is very similar. Yeah we had all the clunks go away too.

I did the same thing on mine. I reversed that bottom shock bolt to get the clearance. I also experienced the same squeak fixing. Great product.

Wow, knowing where you're at on I-5 and not seeing that jarring impact makes me want those. More than that though, I noticed how quiet your cab has gotten with all your improvements. Hopefully when things are a bit better we can get together for a beer, would love to see your work up close.

That video was at the north end of the 405 I5 interchange. Unfortunately The noise reduction in this video is mostly due to microphone improvements.

Wow that was a thing to get past the bean counters. Expensive but looks like a worthwhile upgrade. Please keep making these videos. I really hope someday to have my own LMTV camper.

So, this company actually ships their orders... That is good. I am have hearing some frustrating things about airbags. Glad your build went smoothly... wish I could say the same about my build... now going on three weeks. :-D

Very interesting, the Styer and MAN, which share the same cab, use a coil over shock arrangement.

I’ll have to look into that, I wonder if that design would be a viable swap out. Well, for somebody else I on the other hand already spent the money.

@@conjin1 Christopher, there are no airbags on the MAN or Styer, just the coilovers.

What switch were you flipping to air up and release air? Do all our trucks have it?

I told mme that the shock pushes that back and somebody with their spare tire carrier removed would need something there to hold the cab support ahead but they assured me they have never had that problem.🤔

I’ll send them a video. If the bags are deflated the cab latch doesn’t line up and you have to shove the hoop forward.

What was the failure point on the stock brass MME fittings?

The brass tube that runs from the 90 coming out of the top of the bag to the 90 that holds the air fitting. It split lengthwise. I replaced them with steel fittings.

Hey Chad, I am joining the LMTV Money Pit group. I took the plunge and won a bid on GovPlanet. Now that you have had your LMTV, what would be the first upgrade or improvement you would make on the truck if you were just starting out?

From auction. I would start with the PMC’s in the -10 TM. ie. replace all the fluids and filters. Then have the drive shafts balanced. Check the date codes on the tires. Other than that drive it.

So I'm a newbie to the military surplus truck thing, where is the best place to get one of these trucks? Been watching your vids getting ready to pull the trigger and get one soon!

If you want to do a lot of the work yourself. You can pick them up from gov planet. If you want a good truck already gone through with a warranty. You can pick one up from Martin at fmtvsales.com or Grigsby trucks. Or if you have an extra 100K you can pick one up from Acela. There are quite a few builders out there at different price points and level of restoration.

@@BrokeOverLand Yeah I kind of need the cheapest option, I'm like you, skill wise, a certified automotive machinist, welder fabricator. Pretty sure I can handle andy of the mechanical stuff. I'm mostly wondering now, whats the better deal, buy it done or do it yourself?

They are both “not cheap”. But it is a heck of a fun project to build it yourself.

Hey bud, so I have a bad air bag now. Honest opinion, are they worth the $$$?

I don’t have enough mileage on them yet to really say. The cost difference between old new stock and these make it with the change over. Especially now they dropped the price to under a grand. If You can still find a smoking good deal on NOS, I’d go that route for a stock rig.
