Exactly what I was looking for. Also I painted all my vent lids with white gloss spray paint, it greatly extends the life of the plastic and keeps alot of heat from radiating down through the lid. Also did my skylights and boy what a game changer in regards to heat radiation. The bathroom stays alot cooler in the summer time.

Thanks for posting mine is starting to leak water still have not found out how the water is getting in so I’m guessing it’s the seal Everytime it rains it leaks thanks for posting

I'm afraid this video made one critical mistake. DO NOT CUT THE "EXCESS" LENGTH OF THE SEAL OFF. It is not excess. As the seal is exposed to heat and UV it will shrink. If you've cut an inch off, a gap will form. Avoiding this is easy. When you get the seal on and it is overlapping, start at one end and work around to the other end while gently pushing the seal (like you're trying to slide it along the metal lip) to compress it. By the time you get to the other end, the "excess" will be gone or nearly so. A little extra manipulation and you can get the two ends to slide away from each other enough to perfectly match up. Go back around and make sure that the seal is pushed down on the metal edge all the way around. I would also mention that one side of the seal is smooth and the other has a little wiper rib running along its length. This rib should be on the outside and pointed down. Each time that you close the vent, make sure that the seal did not get pulled up and distorted when it was opened. If this is a regular problem, you can put a little dab of adhesive at the corners and halfway between the corners to hold the seal in place. Don't glue the entire length of the seal - you'll just make a nightmare for yourself the next time you need to replace the seal. May your RV be moisture free.

The gasket/seal is different on either side (one side having a lip stick out). Does this lip face outward or inward? Why couldn't you address this?? You video doesn't show this and it is very hard to tell from it.
