This may be the best roof vent how-to video I’ve ever seen! Straight to the point. Subscribed. Thank you! I’d love to see a video on how to connect the wires exactly. Maybe it’s easy and the fan has instructions but for a complete newbie it helps to SEE how it’s done. Great video. Thank you.

Currently have a nice heavy storm downpouring on my campervan. Just went inside it to check for water and saw a small leak in the bunk located directly under the roof vent. Upon further inspection I found it was coming in through the corner of the vent, which is very old so I didn't trust it anyway. A quick KZfaq search and bingo, an easy, straight forward tutorial on how to replace the old vent. I just recently purchased the van, so this knowledge is key to have in my back pocket for the future. I appreciate the video. All the necessary supplies are ordered and I should have a fresh vent installed within the next week. Thanks!

Awesome video! Quick and informative and right to the point, unlike a lot of tutorials. I'm replacing four of these and don't even have electrical connections to deal with on mine. Looks easy.

Dicor is trash that stuff cracks and dries out in less than a year requiring you to continually reapply to avoid leaks. I only use it as a supplement prior to a final coat with 4 inch wide edpm tape for a more permanent maintenance-free installation. To start, use about twice as much dicor as this guy did, wait 24 hours for the dicor to fully level and complete off-gassing. Then apply edpm tape with the generous overlap. Press down firmly across the entire surface of the tape to ensure maximum adhesion.

I'm intending to on replacing our old air conditioner on a 26 ft 1991 Terry Fleetwood with a white skylight / roof vent without a fan and I'm running into two issues. Some of the vent kits say "Compatible with a 1-1/4"" to 2-1/4"" thick roof" which seems very thin to me. the tapered beams near the air conditioner are 3 inches high and add some for the particle board roof and a little for the interior ceiling and we have to be getting close to 4 inches through the roof. I did see one comment on the roof kit that the sleeve was not long enough and they had to use their old longer interior sleeve, but we won't have one. Does our camper have an unusually thick roof - seems unlikely - any suggestions to get the right depth roof vent base?

His video was the best I'd seen, thou I'm no normal video browser. But, I came to find out how to install a vent. He never went into the electrical aspect. What if we don't have the instructions/manual? That's part of the vent. Yes?
