With my 1988 Foxbody Mustang GT, there's always been that one modification I've always wanted to do and that's a front lip from Makers Garage! These front chin spoilers for all Foxbodys truly transform the front end and give it a really aggressive modern look! Many will like it and many will hate it! Definitely the most controversial Foxbody mustang modification!

Everyone loves everything makers.....the most controversial foxbody mod is an ls swap and 1 piece headlights.

Cobra grille insert will change the whole front end for you, easy install, good content.

Still can’t get over you getting that car for what you gave for it!! It’s pretty amazing how much that lip changed the look of the car. I’ve never seen a lip like that on a Fox body. Looks👌🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The grille is the 93 cobra front grill, definitely a must have and easy to install

Im a firm believer of “if it looks good on the car, it shouldnt be an issue”. Prime example is putting the big wing on a WRX. It fits perfectly and looks good. Doesnt mean you are trying to make it look like an STi, just a nice WRX with a factory style spoiler

Super cool stuff OP. I was in high school when the 5.0 Foxbody's ruled the roads. Never did I think that one day Mustangs would be coming out with 465 hp STOCK! Back in the day 225-245 hp seemed like a lot. Still like the way the Foxes look the best.

To be fair the fox was 600-800 lbs lighter than a new gt and even though they only had 225 hp they had 300 torque and with a couple bolt ons and a set of steeper gears out back they can be very fun and much quicker than what they seem on paper to someone who just looks at hp ratings. The power to weight ratio, especially the torque to weight ratio isn't nearly as bad as it seems vs the newer cars. Clearly they're faster but a fox can keep up nicely with a stock new gt with 300 to the wheels even though they're well above 400. These things are fun. Solid axle and no nannies to protect you. It don't do them justice just talking about their stock hp rating which I think many do.

You have one of the best looking fox body's I've ever seen. that lip enhanced the look a lot. Looks completely custom, but in the best way possible. I'm not a purist like some of the other fox body fans who need to have their car exactly original. To me the point of the platform is to make the car YOURS and customize it to your liking. You're lucky to have such awesome vehicles to drive.

93 Cobra grille insert is what you are talking about. I installed one on my GT years ago. Looks good with the Cervini cowl hood.

Love the look with the spoiler. I would have sprayed the screw heads black before I installed them. Overall a great install.

That looks great and i dont have an issue with your installation. If the "proper" way was screwless and didnt involve drilling into the body then i might feel different but either way you were going to have to drill into it. I think it looks awesome.

I was kinda sceptical when you mentioned that lip, dont think I've seen a fox around my area with it, but I think it looks good. I saw a black GT like yours on FB the other day with the terminator wheels, cowl hood & cobra grill &i it looked sweet.

I would have mounted it the exact same way. And I think the grill you are asking about is the Cobra front bumper. Its molded to have the grill.

They are super expensive and nobody really makes them. You also have to get the air dam for the earlier models. I also feel it has a ground effect so they throw it off a bit

It’s the cobra grill insert you’re looking for and you can find it on LMR. Car looks great. The 5.0 badges are in the totally wrong spot, LMR has a placement stencil!!

For the cobra grille insert you just cut a hole in the stock bumper and it just slides in.

I like the chin spoiler! All mustangs and dodges look better with the front lip. I like the yellow protective covers they put on the challengers and chargers too

Derrick those are lx front bumpers with the ford emblem and the other are cobra if you wanted the pony logo. The gt’s have the ford but no cut out. Hope it helps 👍🏾

I think I would have used nylon push rivets instead of screws. Easier to install and uninstall, will hold just as good but no worries of stripping and won’t cause you to have flat if one works it’s way out and ends up in one of your tires.

There’s a factory insert in the center for the Ford emblem, but it was filled in by a previous owner, wouldn’t be hard to get back, but may have to re-spray the bumper if not the whole car

I also have a 88 fox with a 393 and I have the cobra bumper and the insert which allowed me to put the ping emblem there and yes it’s open So I. Order to do that you need to get the number and the insert
