Jaylen Brown won this game for us. Down by 3 in the 4th, he came out clutch with 2 massive winning plays. 1st by stealing the ball from Pascal Siakam, allowing the ball go out of bounds with Siakam having touched the ball last. Then the epic corner 3, to tie and send the game to OT. Jaylen Brown played his heart out.

The Celts won this game as a collective group effort. It was not just one guy. JB lifted us into OT with that huge 3. JT took us home in OT with big time shots. Jrue had key moments forcing the turnover on Hali and the rest of the Cs all contributed.

Three more to go Celtic's, odds are favouring Celtic's to the NBA championship, JT played a full 40 mins, JB, Jrue was exceptional in 3's played well defensively, we have to win the conference finals, cannot bow to a sixth seed team.

Wow amazing performance by Boston Celtics and the whole team that has sacrificed so much for their team and their teammates they totally deserved this win by the way they played this game and this game one . If they keep playing like they played this series and elevating their game to adjust to their opponents they will definitely win the championship this year. And it definitely starts with winning the second round of this series Amazing and good job by the whole Celtics on the defense end and the offense end of the floor.This is what the Celtics is supposed to do if they want to keep advancing to the third round and when the NBA championship including beating who is awaiting them in the later rounds. This was a great night for several Boston players and the following were Jayson Tatum who scored 36 points 12 rebound and 5 assists. Derrick White with 15 points and 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Jaylen Brown with 26 points and Seven rebound. And he was responsible for forcing the overtime which was a great basketball playing making decision that lead to the Celtics victory. Next it was Jrue Holiday with 28 points and 8 rebounds and eight assists. And then it was the big man Al Holford the center that scores 15 points 6 rebounds and one assist. Tonight as an excellent game coming from our center tonight. The Boston Celtics totally deserved the win tonight with the way they played tonight.

He's got plenty of stuff to work with regardless of scores. Celtics doesn't need to be in that kind of situation. he need to look at the lineup Hauser n Kornet, Pacers are running they need to be quicker on rotation n switches. maybe get more athletic. t.o. always hurts. The starting 5 is great how about 6-9.

Tough win but it’s gonna be a sweep. Pacers opportunity to have a win was this game. It reminds me when we swept the Durant/Kyrie Nets 2 years ago: we won game 1 in this similar fashion and then we went on to sweep. My concern right now is Horford: can he sustain high intensity basketball playing heavy minutes every other day?

2 huge plays by brown but Tatum was the only reason they were in this game. He was a +20 and brown was a +4. Everytime Tatum left the floor with a big lead, the Celtics collapsed. Without Tatum the Celtics lose by double digits. Overall a very poor game by the Celtics, but they have a very long history of poor play at home in the playoffs. A win is a win though which is great, but it's time to focus. I expect them to play far better on the road which they always seem to do
@jeffreyyau
@jeffreyyau 24 күн бұрын
Can they just start focusing on defense? Pacers had 3 guys over 20 points, and 4 guys with 10+. And then u add in the 2 miracle hail marry 3s by Haliburton at the end of half and 3rd. It's only game 1 and these Pacers scored 128, their second highest scoring in this playoff, after coming off a 130 performance in game 7 against Knicks. The PnR defense was brutal. Whenever Al got switched to a quick guy, I would rather see double team help than waiting to see Al get eaten up. Kornet completely lost Turner so he stepped into 3s (shooting 3-4), and lastly, Hauser, OmG........what a disaster for him this playoffs.

We play the worst pick and roll defense in the playoffs and some stat guy just confirmed it last night and I’ve been saying it for years and it killed the Celtics in the finals a couple years ago. We need to adjust and have bigs Hedge high and if they get beat on the switch we need to rotate and help and repeat the process if needed but we get lazy on defense so I said all of that to say this… the Celtics don’t need a wake up call this is how game I’ll be with good shooting teams because of our shotty pick & roll/pop defense with bigs sagging off in the paint. We don’t need a wake up call we need a coaching philosophy adjustment on defense that isn’t happening this post season so we gotta out score our opponent because our defense can’t be trusted
@FizzSix
@FizzSix 24 күн бұрын
We came out and punched them in the mouth with pace and gave them a taste of their own medicine, but we quickly found out that this is wha they specialize in… Celtics need to slow the game down a bit, grind it out with ball movement, but need to keep same energy and effort in game 2 and don’t let them get whatever they want. Lock them down.

Payton Pritchard left the game in the 4th quarter with a 3pt lead and was -15 for a reason. No one else was close. Almost everyone else had a positive plus minus at that point. The Pacers offense took advantage of him needing help inside, both on and off the ball. They forced our defense into rotations that, with on time passes, put our defenders into poor positions to defend. Our starters played so well, but the Pritchard minutes negated all of it.. all game. I think Pritchard and Kornet minutes need to be staggered due to these rotations and help requirements when Pritchard is on the floor. Either have Pritchard and Horford come off the bench, or Derrick White and Kornet off the bench with Pritchard starting.
