Gary hit that slump after December and never found his stroke again. On top of the injuries, KCP definitely upgraded that spot. The signing goes on line with the Magic wanting there young guys to develop without changing the identity of the group. Suggs/AB/Cole gotta find it.

not much good option at PG at the free agent, I was hoping I can cheaply sign CP3 for 1 year, the next better option is Dinwiddie and probably can get him cheap.

The 3rd year is player option but i think that'll make him a good trade piece for a star down the line as long as he can stay healthy and at least be a respectable shooter

I want to believe it was a good signing but I am not convinced. He is not the table setter that Paolo mentioned, he is not a volume shooter either. He may be better that GH, but if we’re talking about home court advantage, and with what the Knicks did, now assuming PG is going to the Sixers, at best , if things work out the Magic will be number 4. I’m not sure the KCP moves the needle that much for that.

But we have to remember that a healthy Sixers would have been ahead of the Magic this past season, now the Knicks are better, the Pacers are better, the Cavs are still good. So lots of things have to go the Magic way for the 4th seed to happen. I just don’t believe KCP helped with that

I like KCP as a player, but i honestly feel that was a panic signing....we could have did without him and saved some money....I really felt it was only 2 players they should have went after and that's Dlo russel, and Anfernee simons.If not them, role with who we have....with that type of contract its almost guaranteed he starts....we are one of the only teams who doesn't have a decent point guard....lets hope during the off season that anthony Black developed into a shooter, or da silva is better than expected on both sides of the ball. Fuck it lets hope Jett Howard is transforming into a pg that can shoot(😂😂😂).....i think we honestly signed a overpriced role player, they could have gave that money to Moe Wagner....just my opinion tho

I don't think it is a panic move, Magic does need a upgrade for Gary Harris. Yes, 22m seems overpaid but the salary cap will be increased by alot next off season so 22m is not going to affect the resigning of Suggs and Wagner

KCP checks toooooo many boxes; outside of Suggs (more so just defense) ALL of our guards were suspect. He’ll space the floor, and is durable. With a team option we can flip him for something more solidified… Remember - everyone you mentioned, AB and Jett included have “if” by their name… a 2x champ (even as a guard) can assist in that development…

there is no good Point Guard out there so this might be the best move for Orlando to sign KCP and play Suggs at PG next season. A bit overpay but I think is fine, Magic can still sign 1 to 2 good role players like Hartenstein and Dinwiddie and bring back Mo Wagner and Ingles in a cheaper contract

22 mil to replace Gary Harris - terrible - KCP is basically an older version of Suggs and does very little to shore up the weaknesses the team had - we need an elite volume shooting and ballhandling guard. This makes us slightly better. Suggs is not a point guard and neither is KCP, neither is Franz, neither is Paolo and Black isn't a volume shooter and scorer. Way too much money for a redundant player. Unless they do something to improve the guard spot, this was a bad signing. We need a volume shooter and scorer from deep who can handle the ball - not Paul George and not Klay Thompson.

And he is not an elite shooter. Yall paid 22 for a backup who started on a championship team. It's alot of games in Denver when he only scored 5 or under and had little impact defensively.

Yea, I’m kinda there too. He adds some depth for sure, but also just feels like some more streaky athleticism. Like a micheal pietrus signing or something. Magic are just dying for a guard with reliable offense, particularly from 3 range, preferably a point guard. We’ve got our window with a star big guy in Paolo, we need offense immediately or we might see another lakers poaching in a couple years.

They have all been on a 6-8 year arc. It took Jordan 7 years to get a ring. Lebron needed 8. But why use real- world examples when we can play 2K and make it happen instantly.
