As the war drags on and Russia makes advances on the frontlines Ukraine is increasingly struggling to recruit enough fresh troops, with polls suggesting many of those eligible to be drafted would rather not fight. Yuriy Pikhota and Pavlo Pimakhov, two former frontline soldiers who now work as military recruitment officers say they are frequently met with insults and resistance as they patrol the streets of Kyiv to check people’s status in regards to military service.

I work with Moldovans, they know people both in Russia and in Ukraine, including family members. The cities in Ukraine have become something dystopian from what they tell me, there are no men walking in the towns. The same story is about to begin in Russia too, I pray that this situation finds a realistic solution that is not a ten years total massacre

Today, Ukrainian media reported that a group of 32 people took a truck and made military license plates for this vehicle. Then they drove this car to the Ukrainian-Hungarian border and broke through this border into Hungary; in Hungary they abandoned this car and surrendered to the Hungarian police. I also heard that many people try to swim across the Tisa River and escape to Romania, some people buy wetsuits for this.

These guys get three weeks "training" before being sent to their doom. Big article in Washington Post last week about the existing troops complaining how the new conscripts barely know how to shoot. This is a civil war they could have settled amongst themselves; NATO had all their financial interests in grain and natural gas and once Western money was tied up in Ukraine it became a proxy war.

@@MrVTetagoogle “Basic training in Ukraine is barely covering the basics, commanders say” and WP article will pop up. Arrestovych mentioned it as well on his recent streams. He said they frequently get sent to the battlefront within 1-2 weeks with no training(the have almost no bullets, grenades and other weapons for them to practice) and then they get hit or killed within a next week.

Ukraine could today be into it's 10th year of peace & prosperity under the Minsk Accords, making tons of money from East & West, suffer no war & no loss of territory at all. Nordstream would have Europe booming. Instead by following US advice and promises Ukraine is being decimated on the front line, depopulated by emigration, and operated as a military cabal. Europe is getting crushed by high energy cost. Most of the world's nations understand what's up & have sided with Russia's right to prevent US regime change. Why are there so many police recruiters than actual needed soldiers ? Maybe it's better to be a police recruiter to avoid going to the front otherwise these police recruiters could serve as several battalions.

this is a sad situation. what do you have left in your heart to fight for if not your country and family and friends? i couldn't imagine another country invading my country and wanting to run away from the fight. strange times we are in.
