It should be required for voters to watch these debates

When a candidate uses their ad slogans as an answer to a specific question; I automatically discount their response. Which makes me wonder why they aren't answering the question.

I am not Republican or a Democrat but if I were to pick who won the debate it would have been the Republican.

Laws Robinson completely failing to answer the question whatsoever isn't a good look. It's easy to promise all manner of things, but you need to be able to tell people how you're going to make it happen.

FYI Allstate is not the most expensive and it is not the only insurance company that has increased rates. Inflation and high accidents rates have caused the increase

For someone who brags a lot about her credentials and attacking the incumbent's lack of background, the incumbent did a better job at answering questions and comes off as the more knowledgeable person about the insurance industry. Much of Robinson's answers focused more on appealing to voter's emotions rather than talking about solutions. Any solutions that she does give are too simplistic and she doesn't respond when King questioned how she planned to ensure funding for building 6 new offices when the Department of Planning and Budgeting ordered that all agencies adhere to a flat budget 10:10. King was willing to admit that he accepts contributions from insurance agencies, but he brought up the 5 million fine he issued against Anthem to point out they don't sway his bias. Overall, I agree with King's approach of changing laws to make sure that insurance commissioners have the upper hand in dealing with companies. Robinson's strict approach would only alienate the insurance companies in the same way that democrats alienate the police.

As he starts talking, his words are so uninteresting. On the other hand, she connects herself well and shows that she can do an exceptional job as state insurance commissioner.

I’ll be voting for dems in the highly contested races. But not this one. I’m not a fan of her.
