It's exactly a year since I posted my first decent video about the maximum efficiency blast chamber. To celebrate I decided to dive back into the world of blast chambers and develop a brand new, intelligent blast chamber with simple self diagnostics allowing it to detect when something is wrong, shut down then alert the player.

It's not in Replay Mod. It's much more likely a feature called 'selective rendering' included in tweakfork, a fork of Tweakeroo made by Andrews54757

@@CommandLeo I did in fact use replay mod and the Aristois clients xray utility, issue was that my game would crash every time I tried to render the replay so I had to just record the camera path with OBS, I might try this selective rendering tool next time.

I've used Ilmango's blast chamber for several months without any major issues, so I don't think I'll ever switch away from it, but I still love this one, and will probably end up building it at some point

The thing is ilmango does not work on paper with some redstone restrictions plugins and other server so a „safety“ version much simpler is not bad

Absolutely breathtaking. Huge QoL improvements over previous generations. Fingers crossed a big SMP player builds this and gives you a shout-out. You absolutely deserve more subs.

There is one thing that could be added to make it even smarter, if it goes out of sync, it will shut down the farm, and no matter what blocks you were farming, stone, concrete or anything, then it would try to complete the layer, so it would replace all missing blocks if needed, if you’re farming concrete for example: How can you do that if you’re afk? Well, why not try to steal blocks from the stone generator? While the farm is in shutdown it will stop a player from doing anything, till the machine fixes itself. How it would fix itself? Disable observers some way, so the observers that push the block closer to the middle would ONLY detect one cycle, once that is detected, the block feed tape of that side would lock itself, till all other 4 are also good to go. That way all blocks would be back in sync as it should be, machine knows that it was in the repair stage, so it know that fixing the problem was it’s job, and did it, then starts again, if it’s still not in sync, cycle repeats, till it is, but after one desync, it should work if made properly, so the farm should start running smoothly again. Till next desync Also detection in the feed tape could also be made fairly easily

Very cool design! I really like the all-in-one design you added as well, with the cobble/basalt generator, concrete slot, and automatic shulker loaders. I've found that a good place to add additional block streams (for example, from a tree farm) is to input it through the top of one of the cobblestone generator's 0-tick smart pistons, just make sure you rotate the top bud-powering piston away from the block stream, or you're gonna have a bad time

Nice blast chamber, the shape is not as powerful as others for fast block farms but much more simple Btw have you tried to explode the tnt in the middle of 4 blocks? Maybe is possible to get a little more blocks per tnt doing that

I've used ilmango's design for a long time and even on my new world I'll continue to use that since I've learnt how to build it without blowing it up. I also always had a closed afk room that would open only when i turned off the farm so there was no risk of unloading it while running. But for people that don't dupe an alarm system like this one is amazing. Even though i won't use this it is still an amazing blast chamber 👍

I built this to replace Ilmango's constantly failing TNT blast chamber, and I honestly wish I did so earlier, instead of spending hours trying to fix and rebuild the other design. Your design is still efficient enough to be used without having to refill the TNT constantly, but the QoL improvements makes this one soooo much better than any other.

Is their any reason you don't use a wall/pane/iron bars/note block to detect the conveyor moving rather than the solo observers QCing the pistons? I don't see a reason my the timing would be different? You can avoid the copper oxidizing issue you had. I know you used walls in some spots but not all

I've built the non dupeing version of this blast chamber twice so far on a server with paper/spigot, and its thus far been totally reliable. Its replaced ilmango's blast chamber design which has worked fine most of the time, but occasionally the redstone would fall out of time and it even blew up a few times. Every time it broke I had to use a litematic of the chamber in its starting config to fix it, and I love that with this design that's now a thing of the past. I don't expect it to be totally infallible as times goes on as paper is a bit cheeky with redstone, thus far I've had no issues.

Is the TNT duper your own design cus it looks very promising. If it isn't too much bother a tutorial would be brilliant or a link to one if one exists. But other than that great video and nice to finally see a more simplified and sturdy blast chamber that retains its TNT efficiency. Also your video on the colour changing beacon inspired me to make my own and luckily I got there in the end. Such an amazing and underrated channel, I hope the almighty shines brightly on you.

Connect the automatic shutdown to the tree farm so that the blast chamber tells the tree farm to turn off. The blast chamber detects issues long before they will actually break the blast chamber, meaning it can continue processing blocks for a short time as it waits for the tree farm to switch off.

bro how did yo compact your duper like that?! I had made a similar design for the actually chamber it self were the player puts in blocks and it separates its self by zero tick pistons except mine only had a single row of pistons around the hole the TNT dropped. but for me it was super hard trying to compact the TNT duper, great job on that 👍 (ps mine is very breakable i never came up with smart solutions like this, this is very cool:))

To harvest wood in a tree farm, for blowing up concrete after converting it, or to get cobblestone from stone.

If you want to convert concrete powder into concrete, netherrack into nylium, logs into stripped logs or varieties of dirt into normal dirt.

The most common use case for a blast chamber like this would be a concrete converter, so you place down concrete powder next to water, it sets into concrete then the blast chamber converts the concrete into it's item form. The dropper is needed to resupply the player with concrete powder as they place down the blocks. The funniest thing is that you can even convert TnT into it's item form using this blast chamber, because the TnT cannot be ignited while it is moved by the pistons and simply drops as an item when blown up in this state.

So provided you send an output for the desync shutdown and have somewhere upstream of the splitter to merge blockstreams, you could connect multiple tree farms with different output speeds to the same system as long as they weren't running simultaneously?

Yo, the links for the litematics are messed up: Standalone non duping/ with duping are mixed up. The non duping litematic is actually the duping version and vice versa

I wish there was a blast chamber video walkthrough for redstone idiots like me, where input feed tapes are setup in the schematic for any kind of farm. For example like an universal tree farm, a couple of nether tree farms, an azalea farm all the ones that are fairly playerless :3 not a criticism of your video but more of a suggestion. I can see the block feed tapes as conveyors but its really hard to understand how I'd rig this to other farms unrelated to this specific build xD

Most farms these days don't use single stream outputs that can be hooked up to a TnT efficient blast chamber such as this one. A lot of tree farm designers for example with integrate the blast chamber into the design and optimize the tree processing for their less efficient blast chambers. I kinda dislike these design decisions because if offers less freedom to individuals using the designs, plus they also spam TnT to solve the problem. But also it makes sense why they spam TnT, because blockstram management can become very complex and prone to failure makin them not very user friendly.

how would you connect the alarm function to other farms such as treefarms so they dont continue when the blastchamber alarm goes off? you did create an output signal @17:10 but how would that translate to a connection with a treefarm? my treefarm for example starts with a simple lever, how would that turn off again automaticly?

I'm not so sure I would make a good streamer, I tend to prepare what I'm going to say before I say it in my videos and I am very quiet when my brain is working on problem solving. In my let's build videos I usually complete things first then rebuild it on camera just so my brain can parse what I am doing.

The block distribution system has a BUD at the bottom which can only activate if blocks actually touch it. Unless you do something strange like placing a redstone component next to it that gets triggered accidentally, the only time blocks make it into the system is in groups of 4.

I wanted a blast chamber, for turning large amount of grass block to dirt, so I can turn it into mud. I build mango's blast chamber, but it keeps blowing itself up in my real world. Works perfectly in his world download :(. So I am trying yours now. But like your copper issue, the grass turns to dirt sometimes when under the observers and the breaks it. I have made some tweaks that help it (move top observers to the side). I also found I needed to add some extra safety sensor for when the downward streams push down past the bottom pistons and it also turns everything off before the streams back up.

Check out the Omnifarm, it features a vastly improved variation of this blast chamber that can handle block state changes such as copper and dirt.

@@cubicmetre Thanks. I had quite a lot of fun fixing this one for my usecase and testing in creative. But the Omni Farm version does look a lot better so I will try that version. I had avoided it because I just want the blast chamber (I have much worse versions of the other farms in my world :') but they are mine. Love you videos though, and the the discussion about repairability in your designs.

My biggest fear is when I try to build from schematic, something will be wrong or not work on servers but will in single player, and then it will be built for nothing. Do you know if this is server friendly or does it vary? I'm new to building massive contraptions like this on a server instead of single player. I built the cobble/basalt generator from ilmango on a server but keeps jamming and then breaking. But seemingly works fine on single plaeyr world

Servers tend to employ modifications which change the behaviour of redstone in order to improve performance, I cannot guarantee that this blast chamber will work if you are playing on a non vanilla server, however this blast chamber will at least detect when something is wrong before it jams.

I just downloaded both Standalone litematics (duping and non-duping) and I think they are wrong. Duping is actually non-dupping and vice versa, or am I wrong?

I don't know If this would even ever be usefull in a blast chamber but could you use a cat to automatically turn off the machine when you get out of chunk distance? Since then it unlocks chests or whatever

There is a mechanism for detecting when a chunk unloads, the only problem is that the unloading happens too quickly for the blast chamber to respond.

No, it means we should cancel pistons, redstone and minecraft in general for making this the most efficient way to transport blocks symetrically from a central point.

Can you modify the tnt shutoff feature so it doesnt require you to fill the dispenser and 1st hopper with 14 stacks of tnt to make the system work?

Yes, for the collection of block generating farms. Most often tree farms, but can also be used with any farm generating solid blocks such as basalt, cobblestone, stone, and the Nether stems

There is a setting in Tweakeroo that allows you too still let mouse clicks through when in free cam. Alternatively you could also achieve it with its "Periodic use" feature.

Depends really how many conveyors are out of sync, if it's just one then it feels a sort of tingling sensation, if all four are out then it screams in aggony as if it's life is over.

It's 18kph or 2x hopper speed, which is the standard rate at which a player can place blocks in vanilla by holding down the right mouse button.

Yeah for some reason replay mod would crash my game every time I went to go and render a scene, so I had to just setup the camera path then record it playing the camera path.
