I love that this appeared the same time as I'm repairing an old 0-4-0 american hustler. It motivated me to finish painting it.

Was wonder how long until you review one! LOL! Got to be one of the most interesting locos on the market at the moment! You just got to love them! Yep, there are many on the East Somerset Railway, including the beautiful ESSO one which Hornby have made (the version I got). Very tempted to get another one to join her! I missed the instructions when I reviewed mine first time around, LOL! They sure a very detailed for there size! Very smooth runner too! Can't wait to see the battle of the shunters and see how powerful she is! Great work and thanks for sharing!

Another great video. I haven't yet visited the East Somerset Railway, must take a trip soon! Bicton Botanical Gardens in Devon used to have a Sentinel parked up in the late 80s

We have one of these shunting wagons in and out of the factory I work at, she’s a bit tired, but still gets used 24/7 all year around!

My dad used to drive one of the 0-6-0 sentinel's around around a freight yard this for me is why this little shunter holds a place in my heart and i cant wait to get my hands on one or maybe 2. I think the reason people love the sentinels is there widespread use from freight yards to collieries and steel works even to the London underground.

they look great-cannot understand people not buying Hornby-great range and look at the latest examples with detail like that for the price.I would buy one of these.

Great review mate! I can confirm there is a Sentinel locomotive at the Peak Forest Cement Works near Dove Holes on the Buxton Line as I went to film the freight there a month or so back. Quite a journey saying I am only 14 and it is a bit of a walk from the station. That was the only one I have seen around.
