You can watch "Sparsh" where Naseeruddin plays a blind man. I'm not sure if it's true, but it is rumoured that Al Pacino watched this film to be inspired for his role in "Scent of a Woman". Manoj Bajpayee mentioned this in an interview.

It's time now that OSR gets introduced to the entire parallel cinema movement in late 70s and 80s🙂. For anyone who loves cinema and actors specially each of them is a masterclass. Once you'll get there it'll open a whole new world to you.. I hope you get there soon 🥰. The reason why we have acknowledgement for good cinema today is coz of those wonderful actors writers directors who refused to follow the conventions..made films that were important !!

Please watch Bandish Bandits if you want to watch Naseeruddin Sir for atleast 4-5 hours long. He as usual is the highlight of the series along with other young actors. Also, the series is one best to come out in 2020

the female young actress was Shweta Prasad who won National Fil Award for best child artist...you have got to check out that movie "Makdee"...its Vishal Bhardwaj's debut movie and I still remember that movie...se was a great child actor in many popular TV shows back in the day and she also acted in one of my fav movies called "Iqbal" which is about a deaf mute person who wants to be a cricketer and it too has Nasruddin Shah as his coach.......

Despite the fact that I am a straight male and also don't agree with Naseer sir's political opinions by any means, still feel mesmerized and lost watching him. His 'Mirza Ghalib' series is a must must watch !!🙏

The older female actor was Shernaz Patel. If you want to watch early Naseeruddin Shah movies, you could start with: 1) Sparsh, 2) Paar, 3) Aakrosh (which also has Om Puri another great thespian), 4) Bazaar, 5) Mandi, 6) Chakra. Many of these have fabulous ensemble casts showcasing some of the greatest actors of Hindi cinema.

I would love to know. And there is the Film & Television Institute of India that has produced some equally brilliant directors and other production specialists and few great actors too. India’s leadership in many areas rests on the shoulders of graduates from these institutes - it’s not just IIT and IIM.

PLEASE watch Mirch Masala. I saw it as a kid and was spellbound even at that young age by the 2 stalwarts-Smita Patil and Naseeruddin Shah and the film's sheer cinematic power. A gripping story, that mystical sandy Gujarat setting and an impressive cast-Raj Babbar, Deepti Naval, Om Puri, Ratna Pathak Shah, Supriya Pathak, Dina Pathak as well as many more legendary actors of parallel cinema from that era.

Indeed, he is Morgan Freeman of Bollywood !!!!!
