The paint alone was a tremendous improvement as far as I’m concerned but the new exhaust fan was a major priority too! Smoker’s teeth... 😳😬😩. 😂😂😂 I’m not much of a “green decor” person so the rug really helps to soften the bossy greenness of the marble. Excellent changes on an affordable budget! I know how much you love symmetry and as a general design principle, I definitely agree. However, my only constructive criticism is function also needs to be a priority when faced with challenging spaces. As a guest, I will always want someplace to put my toiletries... a flat surface to put all my bathroom necessities! Whether two small chests on either side of the sink - to check your symmetry box, or a tower of shelves on the wall where the two leaf prints currently live. Whatever and wherever it works! I just don’t want products I put all over my face and body or in my mouth wallowing about on a bathroom floor, which is currently the only available flat surface for my skincare and oral hygiene products to momentarily hang out. I had an idea about retrofitting a small chest of drawers to cover the bidet, but perhaps with the top drawer or two still usable... similar idea to all the chests turned into a bathroom vanity! Flat surface issue is solved, added drawer storage is a bonus and you get to hide the bidet. I think it could be a fairly easy DIY to cut out the back panel and bottom drawers then just glue the bottom drawer fronts on. Ta-da! Of course it’s always much easier in my head than in reality! Finding a unit deep enough and narrow enough might be the most difficult part of this idea. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ A couple of floating shelves might be an easier solution and you could keep your special plant stand visible. 😉☺️😊

when you bought the house the quest bathroom looked obsolete and cold and when you worked with what you had it looked decent and more lived in but now you have created a beautiful and pleasant natural green organic spa bathroom. the simply white paint, the prints, the natural towel holder and the bigger natural area rug together with the glass door made a big difference. Ask Alexa to play a rainforest song. And by the way I love your earrings.

I think with your budget you did a terrific job, just the new paint made a world of difference!

Hi Rebecca: I know you don't like the green/black marble, but you did an awesome job at integrating and down-playing the boldness of the marble with the light brown carpet and towel racks, yet you really offset the marble with the beautiful constrats in the colours of white walls and black/green marble. The marble reminds me of an art nouveau style, which is coming back. I do believe that any marble is worth keeping. Kudos to you! Really!!

Looks beautiful! It looks very calming and love how incorporated green photos and plants goes so well the the colour shower. At the same time distracts your eyes from the dark shower. So my plumbing exploded and I had to rip out of remodeled kitchen and then a few weeks later my remodeled bathroom. It was heartbreaking. So I am now catching up on videos here as we finally hit the rebuild part of this mess. Listening to you talk about making things fabulous no matter the budget was exactly what I needed to hear and helped to sooth my stressed soul!!!

I feel the biggest impact was changing the shower doors but the fern in-the-bidet - priceless!

Lol your plant holder (Bidet) is one thing I can’t live without! We build our house not too long ago and I have to have a bidet, it clean your bottom way better than just a toilet paper yah know😀.

I always Love to see your work and like to hear your reasoning on why you did it that way! Like your new forever home. I built a home and I can say it's alot more stressful if it's your own, than a client. But I don't know if I would do it again. I caught the builder stealing lumber from our home and charging extra for his mistakes. And we were friends, go figure.... Will be very excited to be with you on your new forever home.
