Hi Creators,
This video was requested by several subscribers! In this video tutorial, we cover how to create interior lighting. We will build our own lighting from scratch, using several of Maya 2022's tools including area/directional lights, light blockers, visibility control, and so much more. It's a jam-packed video, so let's get started!

I love this channel, and share it with my students. I was just wondering if you could use Arnold standard surface to emit light as you did with the old maya shader? I think it is a bit OCD of me but I like to keep things simple for my students. Thanks a million for your continued wisdom sharing 😊

@Academic Phoenix Plus I want to put a plane of glass material where the window is. But I cannot get a directional light to pass through it. I have unchecked "opaque" , and no shadows in the attribute editor of both the glass plane and the plane with the sky and trees on it.. What else should I do? thank you

Ma"am after giving the light as u shown but after render light is not coming what to do? yes everything i checked normalise is off too
