Hey Geetar Players!! This weeks upload is an intermediate blues guitar lesson with tips and tricks for jamming blues.
Sit down to it , its gonna be a long one!!
For a long time, playing the rhythm and solo all at the same time eluded me? I could never get it to sound right, it always left me feeling frustrated and wondering what kind of sorcery these blues players were cooking up to be able to do it? Was the devil at the crossroads a real thing?
Well in this lesson i aim to start getting you on the right track to be able to accomplish that very thing! We are gonna go through a simple 1,4,5 Progression highlighting the bass and embelishing the chords with some intermediate tricks that fall right underneath your fingers.
As always with these kind of lessons i cant stress enough to you how you MUST take this idea and EVOLVE it into your own way of playing, find your own runs, walk into the changes differently just start in anyway you can by adding your personal accent! Thats what will give you your own unique sound! At a time when everything is so accessible its real easy to take influence, blend them all together and create your own sound!
If you like this video make sure to let me know below, i have HEAPS of content that i will share if the interaction starts mounting up!!

After 3 years my solos and everything else sounds the same ! I am extremely frustrated that i am so stuck sounding the same all the time because i haven't learned to play this way! i call myself the one man note and i hate it! Thanks to you i feel i will be sounding a bit better now after practicing this :), By the way you really have a gift for teaching this stuff and like some others said the camera angle is great, if you would do many like this video or even strictly lessons this channel would blow up like crazy, thousands of intermediates like me that are stuck would swarm this place! cheers and thanks !

I don’t really use any theory or logical process when it comes to the blues. I just feel and let that move through me. If I wanna cry I’ll use some whining bends and make my guitar cry, if I wanna sing my guitar is gonna sing, double stops if I want to laugh. It’s just like writing a new story every time you jam to a track.

Bro! I'm an advanced player and I love your stuff! I seem to always pick up one or two notes that work really well for me and I have somehow missed in my finger muscle memory. Much thanks for that. Your teaching is superb btw!

Really great stuff! The good thing about this lesson is how much one can expand beyond what is covered here. Sort of the way learning just 3-chords allows a person to play 20,000 songs. Alright, it looks like I'm gonna have to subscribe to see where this takes me. Here we go! **UPDATE: 24-hours later and I'm playing this awesome lick nearly to perfection... And, it's like I said, I am expanding and moving around to create variations!

Thanks for this lesson, good clear instructions. With another three or four hours you could explain the theory behind it all, but I reckon it is best for the player to work all that out for themselves, but however you do it do get to understand music theory. I could play blues pretty well by the age of 15, and more than forty years late I still play them. I have quit the drugs, the booze, and the women, but I just can't stop playing the blues.

Hey my man, very cool, actually very very easy. It would be nice if at the top of the screen you could maybe have the tab going for it....just for people that don't know the notes exactly as played can SEE where you're going, then can make it their own. I would like that, but you have very nice timing, you were a tad behind time which made it sound very nice, almost as though you are playing to "catch up" by staying behind. (does that make any sense???)

@@FretJunkies Oh that's funny, my mates are telling me to wait for the drums! I'm a huge George Harrison fan, there's a great video where he explains when/why, that on occasions he'll PURPOSELY play ahead or behind the beat. It changes the dynamics of the song. Very cool. Keep Rockin'
