Very nice doctor. I have a 24 year old autistic son. When he was 9 I stopped cereal and milk for breakfast and started Indian breakfast or curd rice. Within a few weeks we got a call from school that he has improved. His food and his behavior are so much related. Hopefully one day we may get solid answers for autism instead of second guessing every treatment

I tried 3 things and it worked out. Lost 60 lbs in 4 months. 1. Have regular Indian food (just no rice and low carbs) gravy as soup, side dishes with more protein and fat. 2. 16 hrs to 22 hrs intermittent fasting. 3. Jogging or walking 10000 steps (approx 7 miles) Live healthy and happily

In 2019, I reduced 25 pounds of my weight with a fasting window of 14 hrs, heavy cut down of rice, white flour and sugar. Did a lot of walking. It took only 3 months to naturally achieve this reduction. By then I did not know what IF means. Later I came to know what I did was that. My doc was surprised on my weight loss. @Dr.Pal, Whatever you and Mr. Bhat shared here is of very high value to the society! Pls. continue your good efforts! You’ll soon see a healthy society around you called Dr.Palians 🙂

We made our 7 years son following 7am to 6pm eating routine... Now a days comparing to us he is fully adopted to this routine... Few days back we sent him to his grandma's house.. They mostly prepare dinner at 8 pm... But he order them to get ready his food by 6 pm... Thank you Dr. Pal... This is because of you...

but i dont think it is recommended for kids unless they are obese. Kids (under 18) usually dont overeat. and they are more active in that age.

No.. please it is no t recommended for kids since they have high acid secretion because they are growing up... They might get ulcer issues...

Dynamic humorous combo… I have been following the 12 hour window after seeing Dr. Pal humorous video. It’s been a month to two. My weight has not increased. My acidity / heartburn has significantly dropped. My mindset has significantly improved. Keeping fingers crossed to ensure I continue with intermittent fasting for rest of my life.

In our olden days ,grandparents used to complete their meal bet 6-6.30. They had saatvic foods , ekadasi virtams etc. I find they were more energetic physically and mentally and the quality of their ;Ife was pretty good . What you explain to us is the exact routine followed by our ancestors . Thank you so much motivated by your talk as always ...

Excellent chat show and Mr. Bhat was brutally honest about his health issues and humorously conveyed the current eating problems amongst Indians. I feel healthy while I remember to do intermittent fasting but sometimes forget while I’m stressed especially over festive times. I really hate all these gatherings at Pongal and Diwali and Christmas etc as I know I’m going to eat every sweet under the sun and over eat in general. Chats like these remind us of our delicate life and I’m so grateful to have seen this video. Just coming out of Christmas and New year and Birthday celebrations and really need a kick up my back 😳 reminding me to behave. Many thanks to you both legends ! Awesome indeed.

Hi Dr.Pal, you've been a motivation for me.. truly.. my health was fine till I started having late night food at IIM where lifestyle demand was to stay awake and do project work. Pcos aggravated, weight gain started! Now, after 10 years little changes while I tried, never happened . But now when I go to restaurant evening/ night, I don't feel like eating despite having tastiest food in front of me, your voice resonates no no.. don't eat nu.. my acidity is no more! And my periods came today on time!!! Of course I am taking ayurvedic medicine, however ur motivation is the reason.. thank you 🙏

It's true sir I lost around 12kg in 10months. Intermittent fasting... what ever you two discussed here I realize myself sir. First gut free (feel lighter stomach full day), lower back pain reduced (I can work full day with full energy 💪 (professionally lecture)), my weight loss gives more confidence

Very informative!! Immediate take away from dis video for me are two points: 1. drinking hot water morning and before bedtime!! And the second between 6am-6pm eating habits weekly at least 4 days!!

Lovely show Dr. I am working and living in Germany. I follow vegetarian Diet since my birth. But I weigh 104 kg at 184 cm tall. I am following now 12-12 fasting ( only since 1 week) and started avoiding drink my social glass of wine with colleagues. Your shows are truely inspiring. Due to my varying working time I used to have random eating times and used to snack a lot of chips and chocolate.. But now will want to avoid it.

In 2021 I reduced up to 26 kg with 14 hours windows fasting, I will doing walking and skpping I can see my weight loss in my 2nd month of this IF it’s really very helpful in 2021 September I have already reached 57 kg I now I am 55.6 still I am practicing my target is 50 hope will achieve it soon

I enjoyed watching this video. I would endorse every opinion of Dr. Palaniappan and Mr. Venkatesh Baht. I know about this intermittent fasting for sometime now, as my son also follows it. He is quite young and slim. As a mother, I was not very keen on him going on a strict regimen. But I am very proud that he follows these good rules of diet and tries hard to be healthy. When we lived in India we followed early dinner timings for completely different reasons. When we had a baby, we thought eating early meant we had a long evening to enjoy without any household chores. When we arrived in the Netherlands we found that Dutch people ate at the stroke of 6pm or even earlier. We used to think that Dutch people are following our routine. After listening to your video I feel that I should strictly follow this and also avoid any temptation to eat chocolates or any dessert after dinner time. Keep up the good work. I hope Mr. Bhat would also follow as much as he can. This would be our New year Resolution. Thank you both very much.

Dr Pal I recently had an Angina event. 58 years old 186 lb typical Saravanakumar style life style. My cardiologist wanted to put me on Statin 10mg and scripted me for Coronary CT scan. I declined all suggestions and started whole food plant based diet. Following Dr Esselstyn’s plant based approach. It is 5 weeks since I switched. I am making good progress on weight loss. I lost about 8 to 9 lbs since switching to plant based food. In addition I am following the circadian time based eating you recommended. In addition I do at least 4-5 miles walk 5 days a week. My goal is to prove my cardiologist wrong and stay healthy without angina

pattai kalapitinge saar, as you said, funny way to putting serious information is the best way. It was straight from the hear from both of you. Through Dr Pal i learnt a lot. I went to a nephropathy clinic and did 7 days fasting (no solids, only 4 glass of lemon and amla juice) and lot 8kg with no loss of energy. From 97 to 89. Now i am still losing weight with intermittent fasting. Frankly, i never took fasting very seriously until i saw the result. Keep up the great work both you, legends 🙏

I have done Intermittent fasting like 16:8 fast and seen lot of health benefits…but if I do with some low carbs really weight loss and health level is amazing …But when I stop doing it bounce back my weight like anything…

@@Nabhu Very simple. Start with 7 to 7 eating and fast from 7 to 7 at night. This will start informing your gut that there is a deprivation of carbs for 12 hours. Now increase slowly by one hour over next 2 weeks and reach 16 hours of total fasting. I do 4 PM to 6 AM next morning. Next important thing is calorie deficit. You need to eat less than 1500. So need to eat maximum vegetable and minimum rice. Rice is the killer. Try switching to grains like samai, thinai , gudhirai vali, Kambu. These have more metal nutrients and less carbs. This will reduce your weight more than 10 kgs. More important point is consistency. I am 29 so pretty young metabolism helped. But once you start intermittent fasting, you will start becoming young too. :) All the best.

Actually one of my friends srinivasan suggest me this video to watch out. But before watching this video he told me sunrise to sunset eating habbit.. I started this thing same day when he told..! Actually today 3rd day. Last two nite I slept very well, it like a quality sleep because of following this.. Really thank you srinivasan who suggested this to me. Thank you doctor pal..!! God blesses people, doctors as well as blesses people...!! Thats why doctors are equal to God ..

Doctor Iam watching your videos only for the lost three days only. It's very useful and timely as many young people particularly from the IT industry are careless about eating. I am sure you will be knowing that Japanese people follow strictly the 6 am to 6 pm regime.Even a watchman/ security closes the gate at 6 pm and eats his night dinner dinner.I have seen this personally in many locations in Japan. I think we have this principle in the mission mode and start influencing younger people in schools and colleges. Thanks for this opportunity.Hats.off to you.Carry on the mission.

ஆதியில் மநிதன் இறைச்சி சாப்பிட்டான் நாகரிகம் வளர்ந்த பிறகு அனைவரும் plant based food ற்கு மாறுவது நல்லது. எனக்கு தெரிந்து என் ஊரில் நான் சிறுவயதில் பள்ளி படித்தபோது அனைவரும் ஊரில் vegetarian than சாப்பிட்டனர். ஆனால் இன்று அனைவரும் non vegetarian சாப்பிடு கின்றனர். தமிழர் vegetarian உணவு தான் பெரும்பாலும் உண்டனர். ஆனால் இன்று மாறிவிட்டநர்.very interesting and most important video for all. Thanks to both experts.

Your videos got me started in Sept/Oct last year and I started with 16:8 for a month and later progressed to OMAD supplementing it with 1 hour of muscle training. By January I lost ~10kgs and reduced 10cm's off my waist line. I see a sea change in my body and have never felt so healthy and energetic. Thanks doc!

Doctor, we all enjoyed your interview and enlighten our knowledge, thanks to you and Venkat ji. I have heard same eating rules from famous Dr BM hegde, also in our SASTRA it is clearly written that you should eat food before the sun set.

Cherry on Ice-cream....🤫....fresh Grated coconut on cooked Vegetables...it felt so to watch my favorite stars talking...all...please do follow Dr.Pal's restricted eating advice....Dr. Pal...In our house all of us are following. Even my mom back home. I do 16 to 17 hours of intermittent fasting and lost 25lbs in last 6months...I also watch Bhat sir's recipes, make them and eat them...I am not missing anything because of intermittent fasting.

I have watched that Behindwoods interview few years back, I stopped eating non-veg eating at night. I am trying my level best after complete my office work to have dinner, now I reached before on weekdays 8:30 PM and weekend days i will complete 7:00 PM. I am completing my dinner. Even my friends will kid me, but I will not leave this habit. Thanks a lot to Venkat Sir ❤, Thanks to Dr Pal as well.

Even when doing intermittent fasting, we should not be eating "anything". We have to significantly reduce our carb intake. Take carbs in the form of Vegetables only.

Great conversation, I have a few questions about my eating schedule and intermittent fasting: 1. I have a doubt about the concept of not eating after sunset. I am following an intermittent fasting schedule with a 16-hour fast and an 8-hour eating window. My last meal is at 7:30 PM. Is this okay? 2. I would like to follow an eating schedule that starts from sunrise to sunrise. Since I currently live in the UK, the sunrise and sunset periods are different in summer and winter. Could you please advise how to fit the eating window within these variations? 3. Lastly, during the winter, what kind of foods would be better to consume? Thank you!
