Hello, I was a teacher myself, I am now 80 years old. I don't want to know what my students said about me back then. There's an ERROR: if you look up on google then AlN melting point is 2200 Celsius degrees while that of MgO is 2852 so the answer at 3:16 is incorrect! If you look at the molecules in terms of Electronegativity then it would make sense because EN of Al is 1.5 and N is 3 => AlN EN difference is 1.5 while EN of Mg is 1.2 and O is 3.5 => MgO EN difference is 2.3, greater than that of AlN which means MgO has greater ion-ion interaction, resulting in its higher melting point. The video is amazing as always! Thanks a lot!
