My hair has no problems with Silicones. There's plenty of great, high end brands that use Silicones as part of a well formulated product. The only issue, IMO, is when Silicones are used to make the product FEEL moisturizing when it's not - like most drugstore products. But brands like Ouidad, Aveda, and Verb use Silicones in some products, but they use them as part of a well made formula. Plus Silicones like amodimethicone only stick to the damaged parts of your hair strands. Most of the stuff i use is silicone free, but I don't specifically look for silicone free products

Your hair looks great 😊. After 6 months of trying without silicones I tried adding them back in in small amounts and my hair likes them and holds moisture a bit better as it is high porosity. But everyone's hair is different.

I bought Imbue's leave in conditioner and I love it. I bought my mom their deep conditioner, serum, and cream gel. She loves the products. We both have coarse, high-density hair.

I have used the PEG silicones in the past, but I prefer not to. I also prefer to avoid any polyquats on my hair. For a while now I have been using kinky curly moisturizing shampoo and Knot Tmoisturizing

I have wavy hair so I can typically get away with being styler free until day 3 or 4 when I use some CGM gel or mousse. I find that silicones weigh down my fine hair so in my washday I'll stick to CGM products. I will however use a heat protectant with silicones if I am in a rush to get my hair dry before work because silicones are a key ingredient in any effective heat protectant. And on the odd occasion I need to dry my hair fast, I do I clarify during my next washday with a sulfate shampoo.

Interesting to learn about unfamiliar products: Thank you! I don't follow the cgm method, so I accept silicones. Although, I do prefer products without silicones, but if there is a product with silicones that works best for my hair, I don't mind. I clarify regularly anyway. I'm from Finland, but live in China. Lookfantatsic is great, but not practical for me to order to China due to the postage costs and the customs costs and procedures when not fluent in Mandarin.

Hi Gena, Does your hair like smaller proteins as its coarse and high porosity. Would love to know as I feel larger proteins cause protein over load for me.
