Hi I’m a male with long wavy hair that goes below my chest it feels and looks healthy however I do notice their tends to be a lot of single hairs that don’t lock on to my “wavy locks” and they end up looking like flyaways or frizz would you know if that’s due to my hair being dry or is that normal for people like me and you that have natural curly/wavy hair your help would be much appreciated and love the video.

Thanks for including the explanation of pH! When I've been struggling to find/replace a good conditioner I've used just shampoo then an oil instead of conditioner - never realised that could cause pH balance issues, nor that an a vinegar rinse could help temporarily balance that.

Tip I learned from my curly hair stylist: if you see that webbing, ADD MORE WATER and a little conditioner and work that through your hair until the water is soaked in. The hair should be heavy, then rinse all the conditioner out and immediately start adding your products while soaked. This has changed my hair so much, basically I learned that conditioner is only meant to be a catalyst to allow your hair to soak in more water

I have slightly curly hair and honestly, I don't think anything worse could've happened to me. Watching all these videos make me question how on earth would I ever be able to tame my hair? There is so much chemistry going on. Since when did hair care become so difficult? I have to measure the acids, the base, the proteins, the moisture, thickness and density of my hair and the list goes on and on. I don't understand how a normal person could ever take care of their curly hair without putting in a gazillion products in their hair and praying to God that at least, something works in the end!

You don't HAVE to make it complicated if you don't want to. I have wavy hair and I just avoid sulfates and silicones aside from clarifying and look for moisturizing conditioners. Thanks for getting this knowledge out there. For someone who lives in a country where few people have curly hair it's a damn nightmare trying to look after my daughter's hair. We have little access to products outside of people who have straight average porosity hair. Not to mention there being no one (that I've found yet) that knows their business about curly hair though they all claim to. The last salon I took my kid to had no clue what porosity even was, so when my kid's very high porosity hair dried so quickly she freaked out. I tried to explain about her hair but she just waved me off like I was speaking gibberish (she claimed there was no such thing as sulfate free hair 0_0). Again, I can't stress how helpful your videos are, thank you kindly.

Thank you for leading out there with this issue. My hair is likely (in curl type) the most like yours I've ever seen on KZfaq. I know I have various porosoties on my head. The back or crown of my hair is the driest and frizziest on my hair... also the highest porosity. It virtually looks dry under flowing water, it's soaking it up and letting go so fast it took a super slow down mode on camera to see it. It would suck up drops and let it go as fast as it sucked it up... I've never seen such a thing. Of course this has to be on MY head! The rest of my hair is normal porosity. So it's a real challenge to wash, condition and style my hair! The only cause we've been able to come up with for this is hormonal imbalance. I'm currently going through the "change" and so it's not altogether shocking it's happening but in a very obvious area of hair it's so frustrating, I have to treat the section of hair totally different than the rest of my hair, like I have two sets of hair on one head. I admit, it's hard... really hard not to have "the heck with this" days and just put it all up in a chompy for the rest of my life. I hope people will learn of this webbing and wet frizz syndrome and gain some success from your video. Again... thank you! Smiles and blessings...

I just have to say this video is absolutely fantastic! I have been dealing with this exact problem and while there’s a few videos that touch on the subject, none do so in a way that goes into so much detail. I didn’t have a single question by the end and that’s the sign of an extremely informative video lol. Thank you so much for passing on your knowledge!

Silly me, I just assumed that because I live in Yuma, Arizona where it is extremely humid would be the main cause of my constantly fighting frizzy hair. I too, have fine, high porosity, 3b to 3c hair and all of your advice has helped me so far. I'm going to try your suggestions one by one and figure this out. Thank you so much for all your informative videos and keep up the good work! I'm hoping someday that my hair will look as gorgeous as yours!

I've come to the realization that many hair KZfaqrs don't understand the difference from high and low porosity. My hair was suffering because I was suffering under all the confusing lingo that is applicable to both porosities but I felt I resonated with the high end of it. This video (and a little common sense 😂) further validated my suspicions with the frizz, knots and the external look of my hair. Thank you Gena!

This video was so helpful! I've had 'wet frizz' for as long as I can remember and I never knew there could be any solutions to it! For the longest time I hated my curls cause I never knew how to take care of them. I ended up straightening my hair for 4 long years which led to SO MUCH heat damage to the point where my curls were basically non existent. I decided to put down the flat iron in June and change my shampoo and conditioner and I can already see the difference! I ordered my first styling product (curl cream) a few days ago and can't wait to try it and finally give my hair the moisture its been seeking for years. So glad I found your channel!

Thank you so much for these videos. My husband keeps telling me to just keep adding more product and I'm like, once my hair is already coated in product, that ain't gonna do anything. You confirmed something in another video that I suspected but that he was very skeptical of, which was that product buildup was likely preventing moisture from getting into my hair and that what it actually needs is a deep cleanse. I'm gonna go for it later today and see if I can bring some life back into my hair. 😊

OMG!! Ive been wondering about this for YEARS but had no idea how to explain it or what it was called! Now i understand why my hair would get like this when i was “following the rules” and using 3+ steps/products and cold water only to end up feeling like i needed to cleanse my hair constantly- its because my hair is low/medium porosity so everything just built up Thanks for being honest and clear about this

Thank you for this topic! I've been searching! I had a bad thinning out technique that left shorter pieces under my longer wavy layers. Everywhere! Causing exactly what you described--they don't blend in and pieces are sticking together. Especially the bang/temple area. So frustrating. And uncomfortable feeling. Until it grows and gets heaviness, I appreciate these tips!

So we shouldn't oil if we have high porosity hair?
@The_Delaney_Show
@The_Delaney_Show 10 ай бұрын
@@khasimali9352 honestly, I’m still trying to figure it out 2 years later lol. My biggest tips are to use a silk bonnet to sleep (regardless of your hair texture) and to never to go bed without drying your hair. Air drying isn’t preferable, as the extra moisture/humidity in the air is what causes your hair to frizz up. Even if you don’t use heat tools (I rarely do), make sure your scalp is completely dry before you sleep! I like to run the blow dryer on low heat over my scalp for a few minutes after I shower and usually let the rest air dry. use a thinner oil that can penetrate your hair, (google is your best friend for this), and apply the oil AFTER using your normal detangling/leave in conditioners while it’s still wet. using it after my products seals all of the moisture in, and leaves my hair super shiny and not frizzy at all. hair porosity is basically just helping explain how each hair types maintain moisture differently. the definitions still confuse me but the main point of hair porosity is to help determine which order of product application works best for your hair. at least this is what I have come to discover in my experience

Another pro tip I picked up from another KZfaqr is how one drys their hair! The texture of a standard towel will take out too much moisture! Try using a plain white cotton t-shirt! Just that alone has helped transform my natural curly hair! It’s something I never even thought of that would make that much of a difference, but it does!
