I live in Sweden. For me the kissing on cheeks in southern countries always have felt very different. To be honest i always found that unhygienic which it is. In Scandinavia people are more reserved than in southern countries. Swedes want and need their personal space. If someone comes within that space we feel very uncomfortable. Agree. The US medical schools are supported by big pharma and most MD medical students do not even have to take a basic nutrition class the are trained to treat symptoms. DO medical students training involves some look into the cause of symptoms - so they are more open to nutritional and lifestyle changes are a help. But with either type of doctor, barring an emergency, it's best to listen to their diagnosis, then go read, read, read about how what you can do to correct the root cause.

In the US, we have sick care not heath care. The doctors are trained to treat symptoms not to figure out and address causes. They're trained to push drugs for almost everything. Here in Canada the health authorities have linked half of all the Covid deaths in the country to nursing home deaths. If that is also true for the Netherlands, their death rate will be much higher. We are at this stage (unfortunately) able to use the overall mortality in a region to asses the situation. The statistics in Sweden are very detailed in terms of geography. A peculiar fact is that the overall mortality was extra low during the first ten weeks of the year, maybe due to our partial lockdown, but have gone up sharply when people started dying from COVID19 in week 11.

The only clean and sustainable energy is nuclear energy. All the rest is never 100% clean, not even in 50% clean in reality. And we should never forget that production of electric cars and solars also requires a lot of mining of various fossils, chemical emission and will end with a lot of toxic waste at the end, much more than the traditional cars required. It will never be clean process (aluminum production is one of the most toxic processes, the same as refining various metal ore, often found in radioactive rocks). That Boston result was counter-intuitive to me. A group more under stress, perhaps with above-average alcohol and/or drug issues; etc. And yet, no symptoms! What's going on? Unfortunately we are merely a cluster away from disaster - look at Tasmania at the moment, look at Cairns area - until the other day we had had 32 cases for all of Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands, no cases for 8 days...then bam - a new case in a pathologist at the big hospital...now 270 people are quarantined and getting tested - it will be two to three weeks before we understand the shit storm that's brewing...how many people visited the hospital in the week she worked, and where have *they* been.
