If you have Mobilink SIM card in your phone and activate International roaming before leaving Pakistan, then arrive in Dubai and your phone connects to a local Dubai phone company like etisalat, your phone and text charges will be mobilink. If you have a dual-SIM phone and have two SIM cards in the phone (1) Mobilink SIM card + (2) etisalat SIM card active and working in the phone, when you arrive in Dubai and your phone connects to etisalat network then your phone will use etisalat network and charges will be etisalat.

There are a few points to review and check. What phone are you using? is it confirmed to be unlocked? and verified to work on the network 'band' used in Australia? If you are using Pakistani SIM card, have you confirmed with the Pakistani phone company that international roaming is activated on your number?

IN ENGLISH: When international roaming is activated, it is active for the entire world. what it means is that your phone will have service send and receive calls and messages. You will pay for each message and each call. INTERNET: for select few countries including Turkey, UFONE has special 'bundle' price for internet, so you can use net when in Turkey low price. But, for France no internet package is available. Which means : in France you will be charged per MB of usage (which cost way too much) ... and your phone will eat up balance in your ufone account. Think of this as when your ufone package expires your phone eats up the ufone balance really fast.... this is what your phone will do in France. Therefore, my suggestion is: before you arrive in France, turn off 'data' from your phone's setting menu to ensure your phone will not use internet while 'roaming' in France. If your hotel/hosts in France has WiFi then connect your phone to that host's WiFi and use internet that way, just not directly from ufone roaming.

If you still have the issue, Power-off the phone, wait a min, and then power-on to let the phone reconnect to network. What country are you in, and is your phone set unlocked?

IN ENGLISH: Please ask / confirm with your Italian mobile phone company if they have partnership agreement with mobile phone company in Pakistan. If your Italian mobile phone company confirm they do and you get international roaming service from them then your Italian mobile phone number will work when you get to Pakistan. when your flight lands in Pakistan, turn off your mobile phone, wait one minute then turn it back on, and you will be all set. This method works well if you are going to be in Pakistan for a short duration. If you are going to be in Pakistan for longer duration, the alternate method is to get Italian Skype number and forward your Italian phone number to the Italian Skype number. If your phone has international roaming then it should work in USA. I have not personally tried it. Whatsapp only needs an internet connection to work. This can be a wifi connection. If you already have whatsapp on Ufone then it should work just fine in USA.

IN ENGLISH: Yes, you have to get international roaming package before leaving pakistan. There can be option to do this in the App, but I always call the help line and ask them to turn on international roaming in the system. Do this about 12 hrs before you leave the country to make sure to be sure it is done. I use JAZZ MOBILINK and sometimes this when we turn on International roaming, it will turn off GPRS data so won't be able to access website on your phone directly while in Pakistan. Call and text works , just no direct internet. But wifi works.

@@DesertsRiversDoes this local data not working happens permanently or does it starts working in a while if we activate international roaming? I just activated my IR with data on Jazz but my 4g stopped working in Pakistan too and I had to deactivate IR just to make it work again.

@@BilalIrfanOfficial Did you call Mobilink/ Jazz helpline to activate IR or do through Jazz app? In past this is how Jazz did it, when we activate International Roaming, then GPRS / internet inside Pakistan would stop working, therefore I would activate IR only when I am at the airport checked in for the flight. Recently, Jazz did tech update and when I activate IR my local data/ internet inside Pakistan keep working. Please call #111 again and hopefully the customer service rep this time would do this correct. If you still have issue, just activate IR when you are at the airport and don't need internet. Also get the Jazz app on phone. I hope it helps.

@@DesertsRivers I activated IR via ussd code and internet stopped working. Same happened when I did it via app. I guess its the default way. Getting it activated via helpline might resolve this issue.

In English: Wow, you are enjoying world travel! very nice! Looks like your phone was connected to Spain but when you changed country the phone is not connected to local network of Portugal. Watch the video from 2:30 to 5:00 and redo the steps in your phone to find local Portugal network and then connect to it. Then turn off phone, and turn it on. If nothing else works, turn on WiFi calling on your phone so you are able use phone on free wifi.

Yes, internet works if you have subscribed to international roaming package / plan that gives internet. It will be slower but you will have internet. If your phone takes two SIM card, the other option is to get a local SIM card with internet, which will be faster.

Phone would say 'emergency calls only' when it is not connected to the carrier. It will clear when phone gets connected to carrier.

Yes, if you get a international roaming package from Pakistani mobile company that includes internet then yes it will work. If you do not get a 'package' but only activate international roaming with mobile company (Example: Jazz) then phone and texting will work but internet will not. You can find a wifi spot locally to use internet.

@@ashaider4746 In my experience, at airport the immigration officer try to determine two main things (a) your real identity - are you the same person who received the visa (b) has your situation changed, are your answers the same you gave when getting visa.
