International S1900 DT466 shifting

1988 S1900 DT466 7 speed, 5+2. 2 Speed Rear End.
This is completely stock. This weekend im doing straight pipe 5" back to Dual 8" Stacks.
Advancing the Timing, Tuning up the fuel at the Pump. And Aneroid, and tightening up the Governor Springs.
I'll update video of each!

love to see the after video once you get the stacks and all the motor work done man, were lookin to pull a t444 out of a 470p and put a 466 in it

Nice! Check out my upload, I turned up the fuel and Adjusted the Main Aneroid star wheel, its like night and day! haven't even tightened the gov springs yet, or the timing

Cole Decker you can do a lot to that that's the same engine as the ford 7.3 power stroke

lots of differences between the IH trucks and the Fords even though navastar built the engines , the 444E and the powerstroke basically just share the long block , lots of differences ...

My family company owns 2 trucks with dt466 one is straight piped and she’s near deafening

It is not a 5 plus two, that would refer too separate gear boxes. It is a ten speed. It uses the same 5 gears with a splitter in the back of the case. Why are you clutching? Should not need to. Oh and double clutch when you shift between ranges. Lastly the last two inches of clutch travel is the clutch brake. Only use it when at a dead stop. It is to prevent grinding.

He's driving a 5speed with 2 speed axle, synchro trans. Gotta clutch a synchro trans or hyou destroy the synchronizers.

@@thomasadams7795 From 1st to 2nd and most of the time to 3rd without a Clutch But going to 4th&5th you better clutch i drive 1 everyday But i Clutch Every time i shift,I don't do any Goofy stuff with my 2 speed Neither i leave it in Low range until i go to 5th High when i am Loaded and that's the first thing i Kick down on a Hill,the 2 speed is great in these old Trucks.
