A year ago, I was really sick and rewatched all the videos of your channel to keep myself awake (and alive tbh). And i was looking a video about the sister squad.Turns out i almost passed out and spend months at the hospital being paralysed. Today is the 1 year anniversary of me getting into intensive care and i finally get my sister squad video 😅😅

In retrospect, the James and Grayson dynamic makes me so uncomfortable because it plays into the homophobic stereotype of “the predatory gay man”. There’s no way that James was unaware of this stereotype, so I don’t know why he and Grayson thought those jokes would be a good idea 😕

Maybe I'm just naïve, but I think that he didn't necessarily see their dynamic as playing the stereotype, even if he knew that that stereotype exists Edit: I'm not defending his actions, I just wonder about how aware are KZfaqrs about how their actions will be perceived by those who are on the other side of the screen

I think you're kinda missing the part where James Charles IS a predatory gay man. It is pretty well documented now that his whole MO is pursuing young straight boys without consent - EXACTLY what was going on in these videos, despite him insisting "haha its funnnyyyyyy you guysssss!". He was basically laying a foundation to continue getting away with this type of behaviour, because his fans were being conditioned to think it was ok. I don't know anything about the other guy but if he has never spoken about it again, doesn't indicate this was something he was comfortable with or proud of.

I saw the title in my notifications and thought, "Meh, skipping it because the only person whose opinion I'd want to hear on this is Smo -- wait, what? Holy crap!" And then I clicked so hard I literally just broke a nail. This background is gorgeous - it looks like a lovely, peaceful place! Hannah, I hope that's the place you're at literally and metaphorically in your life. And yes, the James/Grayson thing creeped me out a lot. If they'd played it like Grayson didn't understand James was flirting, that would be one thing, but the open discomfort was really uncomfortable as a viewer.
