Had the chance to see a Pajo concert last year and talk to him a bit after the show. I asked about his time in Interpol. He said two things: the guys in the band are great and Carlos basslines are really difficult.
@phil82882 жыл бұрын
Can confirm that Carlos D's basslines can be very difficult to get down. A deadly combination of wild string changes, fretting location, and timing.

@@nadafro3116 not even jail bass line is pathetically easy for pajo, kessler wrote that primarily, its very predictable and easy. you can still see the flair carlos added to it but he was mad he couldn't use his own bass line for the song.

David Pajo was in the bass during 2010. Brad Truax is touring with them since 2011. People keep asking for Carlos, but he's gone since 2010. One of the saddest news ever...

@@arielnavarrete8380 thats not what that look was for. he was upset the stadium wouldnt let them play one more song for the encore when the crowd really wanted. paul and everyone else loved pajo and knew he wasnt gonna last long but they were thrilled to have had him for such little time

wouldve killed to hear what Carlos originally wanted to do with the bassline for this song. I recall hearing him and Daniel got into a fight over how they wanted this songs bass to go.
@seanbelltv2 ай бұрын
@@bearzdlc2172 Sometimes I wonder if the outro is what Carlos wanted and that's kinda where some compromise went. I do think the main bassline is killer and credit Daniel there. They all added to each others' bits, whole better than sum of parts etc. Carlos came up with Daniel's tremolo in NYC

You make motion when you cry You're making people's lives feel less private Don't take time away You make motion when you cry We all hold hands Can't we all hold hands When we make new plans?
