@@interpretips6216 I'm taking your TCII course and was directed to this video. My question is what do you suggest when the provider hands you their "Spanish version" of a form and says the patient can fill that out, but it quickly becomes apparent that the form's Spanish is a lousy, probably machine translated version of the English? Many years ago, before I became a Court Interpreter, I faced this dilemma during medical interpreting assignments. On at least one occasion, I handed back the "Spanish" form, asked for the English and then sight translated it for the patient who then marked the correct boxes. I left the open-ended questions blank and did as you suggested in this video.
