I recall the contractors got a well deserved bonus for getting the roadway repaired in less time than originally anticipated. Hopefully my my brothers in Philly will have the same luck. From the looks of it the exit ramp curved very tightly and there wasn't much room to slow down (from the days of when tractor trailers were smaller). It's tragic that the trucker died, I hope he's at peace where ever he is.

It just shows how effective the overall construction is that the vertical supports held and it didn't domino (nimitz bridge, 1989) Doesn't matter how big the fire is or how hot it is. Agree ! If anyone remembers the fire on I-95 in Chester Delco, early 2000's late 90's. That fire was on the bridge with a tanker truck that exploded after an accident, it never collapsed. In 2007 I was a Deputy Chief of a Fire Department, we had 1 Tractor trailer, 1 Box truck and 1 car fully involved, several people hurt, one truck driver died in the accident that I knew (friend of mine). It too was on an overpass I-95 North and South underneath the Blue route, that concrete or overpasses never gave out. They had been inspected after that for safety, passed. Only thing that they have done since 2007 is resurface it twice.

What's "proper" English? It's all made up and in some cases early Englishmen like Milton made it up as needed. And, "proper" language is whatever suits a specific situation. That's "formal" in some instances, and in others not so much. And, having an accent does not denote an improper way of speaking, but rather it is an attribute of belonging to a particular community whether its regional or cultural.
