Hey glad the truck didn't burn up. Listen, just as a note!!, watch the truck wash place( u know who), tell them not to stick the wash wand in between the lites and the breather, in my case twice they blew the wires off my lites, water is high pressue!!. Mine are those smoke LED's in amber and red, Phoenix lightning, I havet to order those, but always tell those folks about things, if they listen. Be good Ron.

Also Greg's right, those test lights are a life saver when it comes to this kinda stuff, or if you ever wanna get old school and you REALLY are in a jam where you gotta get things going, all you need is, 2 wires and a lightbulb to test a wire, hook em up to a power source and a ground and you can test your wire. BUT if you really wanna get kinda fancy and be able to test a lot more, get yourself a Power Probe Tool Set. With this thing you can test your wires to see if you have any power/ground to any wire in your truck, it will tell you if the wire is a power wire or ground, and on top of that, once you figure out if a specific wire might be the problem ( Let's say is a power wire ) and it's not sending power to your lights, You can actually manually send power to the wire you're testing and see if that is what the issue is. Bottom line it will save you Thousands of dollars in time and labour to take your truck to a shop for something as simple as replacing a section of wire that got corroded or bad plug or fuse or whatever. In the long run the power probe is the mechanics best tool and a huge money maker BUT it does take some time to figure out how it works. My pop's taught me a lotta this electrical stuff growing up and to this day, even though I hate wiring, I'm glad he told me about it! He unfortunately passed away a month ago and the Truck Gods called him home, so I figured he would want me to pass on some of his knowledge. Sorry for the long message lol.

This happened to me when I was driving I lost drakes and ran off the road luckily it was a driver that saw what happened and came with his fire ext and we got it out and theat was the last time for the light on my trucks. I did auto electronics for years and all wires should be on fuses even if you think that they are not pulling much amps
