INTERVIEW: Michigan's JJ McCarthy took one final walk through the Big House before the NFL Draft, reminiscing with us about some of the biggest moments from his undefeated career at Michigan Stadium.
The quarterback took us back to his first touchdown, the pass to Roman Wilson against Ohio State, and the final play against the Buckeyes, in victory formation on the way to winning the national championship

I think he’s going to be a stud I think evaluators, especially in the nfl overlook the simple habit of winning. This guy is a winner. The NFL is the get it done league, not the try hard league. He’s the best player in this draft. No question in my mind

We were fortunate to watch this guy start at Michigan for 2 seasons. It flew by and he was fun to watch. That streak against osu and that NC… does t get any better than that.

I am so mad at myself. When I watched McCarthy during his first few games I kept saying, "He is not Drew Henson, He is not Chad Henne." I did not take the time to appreciate him for being himself. This kid seems like a special person, and he is a special talent and he has the hardware to prove it: 3 wins vs the OSU. Three Big10 championship, Keeping the little brown jug, 2-1 vs OSU, 3-0 vs PSU 1-0 in the Rose Bowl and a National Championship...27-1 as starter. Sometimes as fans we mess up. We gotta let these kids be who God mad them to be, and not who we think they are...God Speed JJ.....

I think he was back to the league regardless after the National championship win. But their treatment of him and the program has been abominable, simply because he stuck his neck out for the players. Few other coaches in the game care about those issues.

Hold on...I read that the NFL did not invite him to the draft night event. They only invited 3 QB's plus lots of other positional players. May be wrong but that's what the NFL published.

I'll be curious to see if he keeps that same team-first attitude when he's solidified as the backup with the Vikings. He may be a great backup, and good for him. He got his money fair and square with his 10th pick. Hope he starts and wins a superbowl. Imagine the Vikings and Chargers in the superbowl, and JJ takes another one away from his master!
