deep down we all know current company don't pay us enough money that's why we change job

Once upon a time, before my gap years, I answered this: "I've outgrown my junior role, but doesn't have the budget to restructure." Three companies didn't like the answer as I was putting myself first, the 4th one did. They loved that I didn't give them a long winded excuse to butter them up and that I actually valued my worth.

So we need to tell them a ramayanam story.. Can't it be a simple like like career growth and would like to improve more skills

HR also knows that candidate is sugarcoating the actual reason. Sometimes current company's environment is toxic and not appropriate for women working there, but still hiding the fact and sugarcoating means that truth has no value in professional life. If you say truth, they may not hire you.

Answer is correct but it's very long. HR has very minimum time to listen. So we shud try to minimize our answer and it shud be delievered in that manner. Thnx

First of all Why do HR ask this question When they clearly know about that person needs a salary hike
