Im a 40 year old woman doing my research so that i can live my dream of living a much more simple and quiet life. I watch your videos and these women are inspiring me more and more. I have always been a country girl. Im currently stuck in the los Angeles city... and its killing my spirit more and more everyday. Im thinking about getting a class c camper, so far that seems to make the most sense to me. Bob please keep making these videos because they are really helping me!

Wonderful interview and Karen is an inspiration! Honestly, one of my favorites so far. I must comment, however, that there were three things I was waiting to have clarified. 1. She mentioned moving into an apartment at one point and she said "we," not "I." Was she married or living with a man at this point in her life? Or did she mean her and a pet, perhaps? Just curious. 2. You usually ask the interviewee their age. I don't believe we ever learned that in this interview. Again, just curious. 3. I saw the blue rag rug curled up and sitting on the bed towards the last part of the interview. I was SURE you were going to ask her to show it off to the camera, but you never did! That was a disappointment for the audience! And a missed opportunity for Karen to further explain and promote her hobby/passion/income source. Otherwise, great video and awesome trailer!

Love this woman! Thanks so much for interviewing her. So inspiring. Wish I would have done some drop outs!! Instead 40 yrs of corporate-getting ready to "drop out" and for good i.e. Early retirement. Can't wait to purge, sell and hit the road! I was set on small Class C instead of selling my 2016 HRV for a truck and TT because it feels safer to be able to jump into the driver's seat if there was a treat of any kind. Now I'm reconsidering again! The only other thing that would be of concern would be strong wind or storm with hail etc, but I guess one could move....unless it happened while driving.

I've settled on a drivable van/small rv from the other videos I've watched of women living on the road. Although this is a lovely little trailer I would feel trapped w/o an escape in case of any threat. How does she deal with this? Does not seem that she boondocks per se. Great little trailer and small truck combo...

Wondering how she manages hook and unhook the Casita. Is it difficult? I got three compression fractures to my spine too, just as I prepared to RV full time. I too, found out I have serious osteoporosis. My fractures have been cemented, I get epidurals for the pain, and am ready to RV. Now all I need is an RV that will work for me. Thanks for another great interview.

Makes you wonder how a woman comes to the decision in early life to follow the path of marriage and children. Then there are those like Karen that seem to avoid that path. They strike out with great strength of purpose and embrace whatever life has to offer along their way.
