Before she retired, she owned an antique store, so she filled her short Skolie minibus with some of her favorite antiques which gives it an amazing look and feel-it is spectacular! She has joined a large group of folks living in her own Personalized tiny home on wheels in her short school bus.

One of the things I like about home builds is that you can bring whatever gives you joy into your home. This women's bus is a clear case of this.

Thank you for addressing the most important reason for my desire for a home on wheels: "responding to family needs." This day and age it is nice to hear you and Bob talk about your mothers and bringing them comfort and joy. :)

@Carl Hopf I agree with your comments. After following Bob's advice several years ago we bought a conversion van and a cargo trailer. After out growing that set up we purchased a school bus and converted it into a tiny house on wheels. We spend the spring and summer on the east coast taking care of our elderly parents. Come fall and winter we head to the desert southwest. Best lifestyle decision ever.

That sink is awesome. I have an old buffet that Iam doing the same with for an outdoor kitchen . Living in my motorhome. But cooking outside. Just love your unquieness.

Such a nice lady and I love her style! We should always have at least a few things that bring us comfort and make us feel at home. Just because you live tiny doesn't mean you shouldn't have what you love. PS - I LOVE that kitchen sink! 😍😍😍

I’ve been living out of my 08 Mitsubishi Galant for about 6 weeks now and one of the main things I’ve realized is organization is so important. It takes about 2 hours for my car to become chaos. I left with 5,000 bucks and ZERO preparation. It was a little stressful for me at first but now I have adapted to it and love it! I get to go hiking and camping 7 days a week if I want!

I live in a Ram Promaster. Organization is vital,otherwise you are going to spend a lot of time looking for things getii g really ticked off. I put everything I can in cut off plastic containers. It make life a lot more simple.

Haha, this looked like a Tiny House video, and I went right to it. Love it, that the furniture was so inexpensive, and lovable. It looks so big and like it holds a lot. Yet it's just a short bus. A very nice functional build, thanks for a good morning.

I've seen a few of those buses here in my area of Massachusetts. All colors. They use them for handy man jobs so that is a great idea. People must think that's what it is. Way to go.

What a lovely skoolie! I just want to curl up on her couch, read magazines and sip tea. I love the locker she uses for her toilet. I'd never guess its hiding in there. What she doesn't have in mechanical skill or investment dollars she sure makes up for in creativity and charm.

My grandma used a similar heater . She lit it and put in kitchen while she cooked. Moved it to dining room for the meal. Great memories.

I say way to go Mary! I'm 62, 2 years away from retiring. Looking forward to it and finally traveling in my life. So, been researching the whole scene and situation. At 62 I began my research about traveling this country and living on the road. With a family history of death around 65 I wasn't sure how many days would be left. Renovating a school bus and traveling was the best decision I made.

I myself live in R.I..Not a nomad yet. There are very few in the east coast. When I do see a bus or some type of living vehicle, it’s very exciting. Besides no spots to go free, people seem to be very conventional. When I tell them my future plans, they just laugh at you.
