Regarding Vegeta, this is what happens when an anime/manga creator is as petty as Toriyama. Literally the second he found out people were liking Vegeta(way back at the beginnings of DBZ) on the same level they used to like Goku(even though the dude created BOTH characters) he made it literally a mission to ensure Vegeta never gets the big W AND takes as many "make him look like a joke" a**whoopings as possible. Toriyama...the most petty man in all the land!
