I just wanted to let you know that, I've watched this video about four or five times to get memorize this recipe and I made it for the first time last night for sunday dinner and..... IT WAS A HUGE HIT!!! I have three sons and my fiance all loved it. They all wanted more after seconds... My fiance wanted to save it for his lunch today lol... thank you! Being a NY Rican myself, sofrito is the base ingredient in some Puerto Rican dishes, which I absolutely love and I make it all the time. If you’re going to make a big batch, like I do, this is how I make mine. However, if you don’t need to make too much, cut the recipe in half. 2 whole bushels of cilantro 3 whole garlic cloves (and I mean whole, not just a wedge) 2 large onions 2 large green bell peppers 1 large red bell pepper Clean, cut up and blend well in a blender or food processor the above ingredients. Wella…sofrito!! When done, I store mine in individual baggies, about a cup in each one. Depending upon what you’re making and how much will determine how many baggies you need (i.e., like soups or stews, I would use two bags, ‘cause I make big pots of it. Sofrito in baggies can be stored in the freezer for up to months at a time. However, I don't know exactly how many months, because it doesn't last that long in my household. Sofrito is great in stews, beans, rice dishes, soups, spaghetti sauces, meatloaf, pork, baked chicken, ground turkey and beef (like for tacos, YUM!), etc. The list is endless, but rest assured, if you try making sofrito as written above, you will never want to spice up your Hispanic dishes any other way ever again. Yes, I'm that confident. Sofrito es la bomba!! P.S. And personally expressing, I NEVER use the store-bought sofrito brands because they have other ingredients in them as a preservative, they’re also packed with too much oil, and nothing taste better than fresh sofrito and it’s so easy to make. Enjoy!

This recipe was the king of our dining table.when it came to the table everyone started clicking pictures .And it tastes yummy to the core. You should call that sauce the universal bliss 😋. I used this sauce with pork ribs,same with beef steak to caramelised my onions. I used it in my beef mince stew with macaroni and even on my prawns and mushroom chilly. Every dish was a killer with that sauce. I am so happy I have one great secret sauce that can turn any dish around. Thank you so much for this amazing receipe 👍

Oh my! I just made this after watching Gina 3 times..It is the best honey glazed chicken ever.. I served it over white rice and a small side salad.
