As an INTP, I think that red should be on top and violet should be on the bottom. This is because red light has the least energy of the colors and purple has the most, and the more energy, the more harmful it is, and ultraviolet is right after violet, and then gamma and x-rays.

I'm an INTJ. INTP's seem very much like slow speed, more precise versions of us. We like them, and would probably be good romantic partners if either of us knew what those were. @@floydblandston108 Nah. My point still stands. If someone tries to set up a competition, I usually withdraw myself. Competition is for those who need to prove something to others. The only exception is when someone is really smug about something in which I know, I can effortlessly take them on. Not because I wanna prove that I'm better (I couldn't care less) but to put them in their place. I despise when people are smug. But maybe that's just my thing.

@@L17_8 The kingdom of God is here! God took on human nature in the person of Jesus the son of God and son of the virgin Mary, so that humanity might be reunited with God. He allowed the demonic powers to opress and crucify him in an act of love for us so he could go down into the Earth and conquer death while defeating the Devil and freeing us from sin! Jesus rose from the dead to announce his great victory as King over all and show that we will one day be resurrected in him when he returns to cast away death forever. Repent from your sins which you were once enslaved to, and follow the true king Jesus Christ. P.S. As an INTP, ENTP exhaustion is like the aftermath of a sex marathon session. ESxx on the other hand is like the aftermath of an actual marathon. IxFP are just as bad if you want to explore any and all ideas too. ISTx just leave you alone and stare at you when you start rambling intellectually out of a need to bounce your abstractions off people. INTJ are unbelievably annoying when you want to explore creative thinking, but great otherwise. The ENFx are usually fun to engage with as long as I have my Ne and Si handbrake on and the Fe booster (party drugs) otherwise I zone out Volunteering as a 26 year old depressed INTP to get out of the house and actually have something on my CV and it's like "Hello 90% ES middle aged ladies, how do you do?" "Oh that's lovely Elaine, Bob's daughter's son's wife was at the supermarket the other day and their boy, you can't quite remember his name had made the under 10s regional swimming team, I wonder if Bob is enjoying his retirement by the lake too!"

The trick with small talk is to use it to veer into more interesting topics. That’s probably violating some random small talk rules no one ever clearly stated, but if someone wants to mention something mundane to fill the silence, they should be fully prepared to follow me down my tangentially-related rabbit hole du jour. Disclaimer: It took me several decades to notice that “How are you?” is rhetorical and the expected answer is some variation of “Fine,” so only follow my way if you don’t really care that much.

I should also point out the VERY accurate depiction of the INTP's focus on "unlocking the secret levels" of each type. I've employed a similar strategy over the years. Laughter is probably my primary connecting point with people, so when building new relationships I try to figure out what we can laugh about together as soon as I can. One of my extended family members doesn't laugh at ANYTHING that I find funny; I switched to saying over-the-top ridiculous things so that she would laugh at how silly I was being, and that worked like a charm. 😁

As an INTP, I was somewhat shocked at the amount of stuff I could relate to. I have made KZfaq videos were I could misspeak at some point and would simply start over from the beginning. Als getting annoyed by the traffic light thing and wanting to put my brains to work to create a workaround even if that means creating a whole new tool. Then after a while realizing there is a much simpeler solution that just requires a bit of creative thinking. And especially the amount of time it takes to put the whole thing together, because I am terrible at planning things, have to get into the details of everything which adds time and effort which takes energy, which leads to more procrastinating. Best line "a person is stil a person" when referring to the INTP and deciding not to rank at the top.

Alright lets brainstorm about this My tier list would be about how effective they can be utilized / can we understand each other (Senior ISTP nam flashbacks) / how I vibe with them hbu? Example, Ni users to help with future planning ESTJs / ENTJs is like my Te copying their homework (seriously, they're fun to be around once you understand their stack) ISFJ (mum) past experience and how other people feel and somehow getting a Ti lecture along with it... she tells me off a lot because I think she knows I'm not as considerate of others... Cause that's how I am, I figure out what people are good at then poke em in any way for info. Only the INTP discovered me when I did it to him lol INTP is really fun with brainstorming fantasy worlds, like could you be a fire bender (avatar) and make a HEAT round with a punch? that'll shit on an earth wall But seriously, do you other ENFPs think about utilizing other people to help you learn or brainstorm? Cause that's my reason of knowing everyone at my work place

I laughed for a solid two minutes when you said an ISTJ can monologue about finding the perfect toothbrush for an hour. "It's funny because it's true." Honestly, I think this is your most accurate portrayal of an INTP, based on my experience with them. It's fascinating to me that they lose their energy in a conversation even faster than I do. We share a sarcastic sense of humor, and we can enjoy brief conversations in which we're both being purely logical, or they're enjoying poking holes in my viewpoints when I decide to switch to Fi... either way the conversations are pleasantly short. I will say my sister's INTP husband can talk to my ENFP husband for hours at a time. Their Ne keeps them going until someone (usually me) comes along and forces them to stop talking and remember some deadline.

This video comes close enough to hitting the mark that I'm seriously considering sending it to friends and family members as a means of explaining how I function. Both its topic, a subjective ranking of the types based on how badly they drain her battery, and the depiction of the process by which the INTP arrives at her definition of that topic, complete with critiques, reconsiderations, and diversions down research rabbit holes, is kind of spot on. As is the INTP's manner of inhabiting time as a kind of fluid, taffy-like substance. And as to the awkward face and verbal fry, those are mannerisms I can't quite deny. I would probably place some of the types at a different level than the INTP here does. For example, I would probably place the ESFJ at, probably, 40%. In part, this is because I deeply appreciate what ESFJ's do for the rest of us when they have developed in a healthy direction. I admit to having relied upon the kindness of ESFJ's. Also, based on my experience, interactions with any given ESFJ never last long enough to completely drain my battery. In fairness, I think each of the types should be offered the opportunity to give a reply in regards to how much the INTP drains their battery.

As an INTP a lot of of this resonates very highly with me (particularly my 7-20 year old self), but I honestly don't despise the extroverted types as much as INTP Kristin. ESFJ, ESFP, ESTJ and ESTP do tend to get on my nerves (0%), but ENTP, ENFP and ENTJ are usually great to talk to whenever there's a common interest (60-80%). ENFJs can be either great friends or completely insufferable depending on how neurotic they are (40%). ISTJ and ISFJ are 40% at best, as the ones I know tend to pay a lot of attention to stuff that I find either meaningless or boring, so talking to them can sometimes be quite draining. All the other introverts are 60-80% depending on the individual.

ENTPs are ultimately quite fun to hang out with. ENFPs are all over the scale: good to have a chat with but if you spend too much time with them, already the eye-rolling they inspire is tiresome. I might have pushed ESTJs to 20%: sure, they can be overbearing, but if there is something that actually needs to be done, it's good to have an ESTJ around to organise things, and if cards are in favour, to do most of the work as well, which ultimately is energy-saving. A good ESTJ relation is potentially very helpful for INTPs.

Yeah ... most of those rankings are mine, and I was playing it for simplicity and definitely leaning a bit on the stereotypes. Your order isn't far off my actual one. I have extravert friends and heaps of extravert colleagues who are great and would no doubt be shocked by this content (fortunately few of them are into Type). Social energy varies from person to person even within a type, and I'm fairly low, which is probably why I marked so hard. Also humour. I find the Ne trap is real, though -- I have an ENTP and an ENFP at work who are great fun to talk to ... but after an hour, I hit the wall and they're just getting more intense. And they won't notice that I'm completely zoned out for, like another hour or two.

@Moonlitwatersofaqua
@Moonlitwatersofaqua 2 ай бұрын
@@jameswilkerson4412 That is a very personal question. He was very exhausting mentally. but that alone wouldn't have caused the relationship to end when it did. At least not immediately. He was extremely abrasive and prone to outbursts while he described me as having the temperament of a Buddhist monk. This did lead to problems in regards to personality. I think an under appreciated aspect of intps is that they are very agreeable and non confrontational people. Inferior fe will result in intps saying rude and controversial things, but usually its not something they do on purpose. They value harmony and do not wish to upset people. They can be something of a doormat in the process. This is in stark contrast to entps who seem to enjoy provoking people, because the reaction is entertaining. See Kristen's video where Entp ranks the personalities on how easy they are to piss off. I think you can see where this would cause problems. That said, what caused us to break up was differing values, political beliefs, life trajectories, maturity, and poor communication. Problems that would exist regardless of our personality types. So I'd avoid looking too deep into this as an intp entp relationship analysis.

YES! Finally, a type that actually ranks us INFPs pretty highly! :) The feeling is mutual with INTPs. You guys are like us, but you focus more on the logical perspective.

@@Floral_skies2727IDK I still have doubts if I’m an INFP or INTP, especially when I hear an INTP say what I was thinking, like the color gradient rant in this video. Granted, she isn’t actually an INTP but a lot of them in the comments seem to agree.

@@Floral_skies2727 Honestly, Fi and Ti can seem similar at times as they're both striving for a similar goal, but they're using different methods once you dive deeper. They're like mirrored opposites of each other; two sides of the same coin. Both functions are highly individualistic and opinionated. Fi is used to make decisions based on what feels right internally to the individual, rather than the feelings from outside forces (people's feelings and societal norms). That's why it's called introverted feeling. Ti is used to make decisions based on what makes logical sense to the individual, rather than the logic from outside forces (by-the-books protocols, what is currently theorized in science, etc). That's why it's called introverted thinking. Let me try to bring an example of how Fi and Ti might both be used to reach a similar conclusion in a decision: Stuck in a traffic light: An Fi-dom is stuck at a traffic light. It has been red for several minutes now. According to Te laws, it's illegal to cross a red light, and Fi-doms are more likely to adhere to Te laws than Ti-doms as they have Te in their stack. An INFP, using their Si, know that a traffic light normally doesn't stay red this long while an ISFP, using their Se, begins to sense that something is wrong with the traffic light. Knowing that the Te law is there morally to prevent car crashes and there's no other cars nearby, the Fi-dom decides that they wouldn't be in the moral wrong for crossing a clearly broken traffic light that stays red. They may feel a tinge of guilt as they do seek to adhere to Te laws, but they feel they likely haven't done anything morally wrong in this situation. A Ti-dom is stuck at a traffic light. It has been red for several minutes now. An INTP, using their Si, knows from past experience that a traffic light doesn't stay red for this long while an ISTP, using their Se, begins to sense that something is wrong with the traffic light. The Ti-dom knows that the Te law that makes it illegal to cross a red light is there to prevent car crashes, but there are no cars nearby so it would be silly to adhere to this Te law. The Ti-dom decides to pass the traffic light and does not feel much guilt for breaking a Te law that does not make sense to them at this moment. Often times, I see INFPs and INTPs have overlapping interests and hobbies, but they can have very different perspectives why those things interest them. One person gave a good example on how they had a friend who had a shared interest in space. One was INFP and another was INTP. They could have long discussions with each other and share opinions on the inner workings of space. But the INFP was more interested in the topic for the feeling of wonder on stars and planets while the INTP was more focused on the theory on how these stars and planets came to be.

@@GwenhwyfarArtThat’s a good example! I mean the primary difference (in terms of appearance) I’ve noticed is that intps may look more serious in a way than infps while infps can come off as more bubbly.

Quite accurate :D But strangely, i seem to get along with ENFJs very well. They can match my energy level and also make weird funny (sometimes conspiracy-bordering) conversations thanks to their Ni and appreciate my Ne jokes. But maybe that's just because i grew up and have a close relationship with my ENFJ sister

Tips for pouring boiling water over tea bag without having the string fall into the cup: if it's a mug wrap the string around the mug's handle a couple of times and enjoy a hassle-free pouring. INTPs are indeed the perfect procrastination buddies for us INFPs, the most fun to have abstract convos with, and learn random facts from, talk about our endless niche hobbies which we have no time for because we can't choose just one, and feel at peace around knowing we're both socially awkward and terrible at staying up vertically xD The Te high school trauma and the struggles with trying to avoid people who want to help you "realize your potential" are just so accurate! "I don't do hustle Brenda" should be put on a t-shirt

This was fun, I did relate to a lot. Especially with my lack of sense of time, and dealing with teabags. I wrap the string around the handle now, but it doesn't always work.

I have keeping the string out of the cup on autopilot and it’s so good at it, better than me consciously doing it.

You know that feeling when you’re minding your own business lost in thought and you unexpectedly see your reflection, and it’s a sincerely unflattering angle, which initially startles you in a bad way and then you come around and shrug it off and think to yourself, “hey, if this is me at my worst, I’m not all that bad, I mean… have you seen other people?” Being seen as an INTP is a lot like that. Thanks for always making me laugh!

From the colour hierarchy not making sense, to trying to come up with a formula (with weights considered, of course) [I once did that to determine how influential Se-Te would be for a "which types would be good at city-building simulators" list..] and to despite calling ISTJ's Si as pointless, persistently having a re-take until Ti is satisfied with the consistency... I have to admit this is eerily on-point. I think you understand INTPs better than you think. (Or maybe, your predictive powers with Ni is so good that from an outside perspective, your ability to make accurate predictions is confused by understanding. Is accurately predicting one's behaviour consistently a sufficient criterion for claiming to have understood that person? Can this question lead to a criticism of behavioral psychology? Or maybe I should just.. stop and complete the video first.) Post-video edit: I just dropped the paper thingy at the end of teabag into the water. I'm scared.
