Hi, I recently discovered your channel from Lifebook 2024. I am so glad I did. I am learning so much already from just a few videos. Thank you for sharing your work, and process with us. I truly love the flip through videos. Please keep them coming. I know there is still a lot of completed journals you have not shared yet. I would love to see them. Your work is truly an inspiration.

Oh my, was this brilliant! It makes so much sense to do it this way and it's the answer to my struggling with how to do my Journals. I love the smaller journals too so as not to be overwhelmed, but can see the value of the larger for its specific purpose. Oh I can't wait to gather up all the journals I have and order some more and get to class! Lol Thank you, Meg, for yet another sound session of sanity in my art making world!❤️

I came here at Niamh Baly's suggestion (she posted a vid today, Dec 28, 2020, inspired by your window frame idea). Loved peaking inside your journals (I'm sure many of us would enjoy flip throughs of those), and thanks for the great idea to have dedicated journals. I've kiiiinda been doing that, but I think I'll commit to it. I think it will feel less overwhelming when starting a new page, as the journal of choice would help at least to narrow the techniques used! Happy New Year everyone 😎!

I just watched this video and it really inspired me to do more styles at the same time. When I started art journalling in 2014 I did that too, but at a sudden point I got overwhelmed by all the products. So I focused on 1 brand (Dina Wakley) and that was my style until now. I recently re-discovered the Dyalog system and all the images from Dyans collage sheets make me so happy so I decided to include those in my art journal routine. 🙂 Because of your video I got more inspiration to work in multiple journals at the same time. Thank you Megan, for inspiring me! 😘

I like that you have different journals for different styles. My journals are all a mish mash, and because I've always skipped around to different journals, I have ones I started many years ago that still have a long way to go to being filled up. It causes me much angst! Thank you for this video, and the best part is getting to peek inside your journals! I do hope you'll put out some flip through videos for us. Love everything you do!

So these are amazing. I've used so many different types of journals. They can be expensive so at times I'll get used books that stand up to the various mediums. Your ideas are always helpful. 😊😊

Thank you for sharing your journals and the many different ideas! I love how you work! I am so very inspired! I have been experimenting with different journals, including some I made, which I have not filled yet! I like the square journals in your video, so I ordered the craft paper one! Can't wait to get it and start exploring the possibilities.

really enjoyed looking at yr journals...beautiful work & colour combinations. gr8 idea having separate journals. i've bought a hard cover sketch book - i glue 2 pages together, gesso & off i go. there are fallbacks with it tho. i did get a smaller journal like yr first 10 you did but havent ventured into that yet. i would reallllllllllly luv to have flick thru videos of yr journals one day. i kept having to pause / rewind to look at these. :)

Great ‘review’ of art journal substrates!! Have you tried the Bee Paper watercolor journal? I found the moleskin to have a lot of sizing which somewhat restricted the flow/bleed (my favorite part) of the color, but, for me, the Bee paper has almost a velvet feel and allows the colors to bleed more organically (I truly get excited watching it...crazy huh). Anyway, if you get a chance to sample it, give it go. With your talent it will all look like masterpieces. So glad to have found your channel through Denise Lush, a true fav of mine.

I have so many different journals to work in I can’t imagine ever completing any of them! Perhaps I need to be more productive- lol. Yesterday I saw that you posted a video on watercolor houses. When I went back to see it, it indicated that you pulled them. Is there any place I can find this video? Would love to see it.

I will repost at a later date. I try to only do once a week, and I changed my mind and did the journals instead, lol! I'm still learning. I also accidentally deleted one yesterday too🙈
